Sunday Social

All about being a child today! I loved my childhood. I had great friends that I'm still friends with, and have tons of memories with. As well as lots of memories and traditions with my family. We've had some great times, that's for sure.

1) What do you miss most about being  a kid?
      I guess not having any responsibility. Not having to worry about anything besides picking teams for capture the flag and where to hide for kick the can.

2) Did you have a nickname growing up?
     Cassaroll, Cassaroo, Cass. Or the occasional 'Ginny Susan' which is a whole different story. Not too many people call me Cassaroll or Cassaroo anymore. But Cass is pretty much a staple with the people I'm close with.
"I can do it myself" -what the shirt says. Describes me perfectly.

3) What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
       The tire swing!
Brian and I

4) What did you want to be when you grew up?
       A teacher. I think every girl wanted to be a teacher. Danielle and I would play teacher/student like every day of our lives.
I'd be a good role model, don't ya think? (1st birthday)

 5) What was your favorite toy?
       I don't remember. Probably barbie dolls, or these little dog things I had.
Randy and I. (Me 1.5 ;; Randy 3.5 years old)

6) What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
       I'm not sure. I know the first time playing T-ball I made my mom run the bases with me because I was too shy. Or this infamous picture of me...

The Joys of Coaching

 I absolutely love coaching middle schoolers. They always make me laugh with their crazyness.

Before I share this story, let me just say... I'm TWENTY-TWO. Not fifteen. Or twelve. Or any other number. I am twenty-two, going on twenty-three (in November). I do understand that I look like I'm a teenager, and I'm well aware that I get carded every time I buy alcohol or while buying a ticket for an R rated movie.

Okay, with that said, I coach middle school (as stated above), 7th grade to be exact -meaning they're around twelve years old. One of my girls told me mid-game "I told my mom you had a boyfriend and she said 'isn't she a little young' and I said 'Mom she's like 15 she's old enough to date'" True story. I laughed SO hard. The kind of laughter where your eyes start watering uncontrollably, and you don't even make a sound you're just sitting there dying. Right in the middle of our game -which we won by the way! One of my girls thought I was 15. 15!!!

1) If I was fifteen that would mean I was in high school, couldn't drive, and would still be a volleyball player myself. Definitely not a coach.

2) I currently do not have a boyfriend, although the team thinks I have a boyfriend named cilantro. Why? I have no idea. Kids... gotta love them.

I love coaching.

The high school always does a Youth Night. Where the middle school teams, and CYO teams are introduced in-between JV and Varsity games. It also gives the younger girls an opportunity to see how different the playing levels are from middle school to high school. Anyways, that was yesterday. I got to see so many people! A few of the girls I coached last year (I always love seeing them), a couple parents of the girls I coached last year, family friends, and my high school volleyball coach! I had a good time talking to them all. I even got to see a few of my past players play in the JV match (which they won!) and one of my players even made Varsity as a Freshman! Go Toppers!

SPORTS UPDATE::
Hilltopper Football: 5-0! Big game tonight, Go Toppers!
Volleyball: 5-3. Not too bad for 7th grade.
Buckeyes: 4-0 ..big game against MichSt on Saturday.
Browns: 0-4 ..there's always next year.
Pack: 1-2 ..surprised about that, but they did get raped by the refs Monday night.
Chi-Town: 2-1
Rams: 1-2
ODucks: 4-0 ..killed, destroyed, demolished Arizona.
OkSooners: 2-1 ..an upset by Kansas St.
Bama: 4-0

It's Okay

It's okay that...

I still have congestion in my nose, even though it's been like two weeks.

I've been pounding my body with Vitamin C.

Emergen-C is one of the grossest tasting things on this planet.

we won our game Tuesday!

the Browns are 0-3.. there's always next year.

I have to work during the Ohio State game on Saturday -thank God for smart phones.

I haven't been able to sleep good with this cold.

it finally feels like Fall outside!

I drank my first hot chocolate of the season already, and it's not even October yet.

my throat was hurting and that's why I drank the hot chocolate.

I've been pinning like crazy lately, but haven't linked up on Wednesday in while.

I already have two posts about Randy/Melissa's wedding, and I know there's going to be more.

this is my longest "it's okay" list I've ever made.

I had no clue Seth MacFarlane did all of those character voices. Amazing!

this is the last season of The Office. No, actually that's not okay.

Happy Thursday!

Tuesday's Postcard

Hey y'all!

Today Nathan over at Life and Everything Else In-between is bringing me/us a brand new link-up! It's called Tuesday's Postcard, or The Tuesday Postcard, whichever you prefer. The idea is to write ONE 'postcard' to someone or something -doesn't matter. So go check it out and link-up, too!

Dear Mr & Mrs Lane,
AKA: Randy and Melissa. This is kinda backwards isn't it? I'm writing a postcard to you guys when you're the ones who could really send me one. I hope you're having fun on your honeymoon in Hawaii. But Ohio misses you, so come back soon and safe please. I hope you're enjoying drinks with little umbrellas in the sand while eating tropical fresh foods. Just be sure to stay off that well kept grass and stay out of the birds' way. Oh, and maybe snag a souvenir for your favorite sister/sister-in-law ;)  Anyways, I'll see ya guys when you return to the Buckeye state. Love you both, have a drink for me!

Sincerely,
Cassie
Team Blackout Captain, Volleyball Coach, Party Extraordinaire.

This was fun! And I know it seems like I cheated by writing it to two people, when we're only supposed to do one, but they're kind of like one person now.. so it works, right?
By the way I should explain that the newlyweds sent a video that stated how the grass was 'well kept' and how the birds 'just don't care'. Also, whenever Randy and I e-mail each other for any reason we always write silly, yet mostly true, things for our signatures.

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Beauty and the Beast

Just kidding, Randy! You're not a beast. Well, actually depends how you look at it.. because in the Lane family, it's a compliment.

Anyways, let's talk WEDDING DAY! Hooray!

September 15, 2012, Randy (my older brother) married Melissa. Exciting, right?!

The morning started off bright and early with hair appointments. Then after a quick stop at Giant Eagle for additional alchy, it was off to LaMalfa Party Center (where the reception was held) to get ready with the girls.

Ceremony time! After a few cold ones, and by cold ones I mean vodka and champagne, not beer. It was time to walk down the isle. I was paired with Johnny, Malone's oldest brother. Which I was glad about because I've known him basically my whole life. Now don't get me wrong all the groomsmen are great, and are like brothers to me, many I've known most of my life, so I would have been fine with any of them. The ceremony was FANTASTIC! Beautiful weather, right on the lake (Lake Erie), and a phenomenal crowd of friends and family. It was really nice. Melissa and Randy both looked awesome, too.

bee-you-tea-full!

 Finally, after tons of pictures (can I add that the photographers were super great), it was reception time!  For the bridal party intros Johnny piggy-backed me into the room while I was holding my flask (yes, our gifts from the Bride and Groom were flasks.. they know us so well) high in the air, and twirling part of the dress like a cowgirl or something. It was funny, and definitely a good entrance.

Here's the Bridesmaids' flask.

Everyone made their speeches, all went really well. Food was delivered, it was delish -steak and shrimp with potatoes and veggies. Finished off by a night of drinking and dancing -Country Boy Can Survive, Cupid Shuffle, and Call Me Maybe, among other awesome songs. Oh, and did I mention they had a photo booth? Yepp. That was awesome, really great idea and really fun, too. I can't wait for the company to post the pictures on their website. Once they do I'll share them with y'all. Until then, here's the photos that myself or Mom took.

ENJOY!

"you're killing me, Smalls"

Dear Cold:: Go away, I've over you. Done. Get out. I'm tired of taking meds everyday and I'm really tired of blowing//wiping my nose. So annoying!

Dear Volleyball Team:: You guys played excellent yesterday. Although we still came out with a loss, I'm proud of all of you for not giving up with the tough competition. Best game of the season thus far.

Dear Buckeyes:: Let's get another victory tomorrow! Beat UAB!

Dear Erin:: Thanks for the "I Believe In..." link-up, it was fun reading everyone's beliefs and thinking of my own. Great idea!

Dear Followers:: I love reading your comments, thanks for following my average, sometimes crazy, life.

1) What is one grammar issue you cannot let go without correction?
     Spelling, or the infamous "their, there, they're, you, you're"

2) What is your favorite thing about Fall?
      The cooler temps, the leaves changing color, football, and Halloween.

3) What is your favorite dish to take to a potluck?
      Ask my mom. We take Stouffers mac&cheese a lot.

4) When do you start Christmas shopping?
      November I'll start to brainstorm, and Black Friday it begins. But, if I see something before November I'll either make a mental note about the item or just buy it then and there.

5) Did you move homes a lot growing up?
     I'd say it was average. My current home is the 5th house I have lived in. We moved a lot in the first 8 years of my life, but always stayed in the same general area.

1.  Something I am very proud of is     my success as a volleyball coach, and the success of the girls on my team .

2.  My favorite thing about myself is  I guess my 'realness' I'm always myself, I never act differently to try and impress anyone, I'm just me .

3.  My favorite color for fall is   red&black, scarlet&gray, brown&orange. Football colors of course!

4. Something I've been learning lately is    success doesn't mean winning every game, it means having fun, and enjoying what you're doing.

5. A book I am reading now/have read recently is  I read 'Stalk Me' by Jillian Dodd and it was phenomenal. Currently I'm reading 'Something Borrowed' by Emily Giffin.

6. My favorite Pandora Station is  "Eric Church Radio" or my "Old School" station, that plays 90s pop songs. It just depends on what mood I'm in.

7.  This weekend I will   be trying to destroy this cold that I've had for the past week, as well as working, and doing homework. And watching football, but thats a given.

FOOD.

I'm still under-the-weather. However, I'm loving this weather outside, it definitely feels like Fall now, and football.
So I'm sitting on my comfy couch (anyone ever watch The Big Comfy Couch growing up?) with BigRed. For those of you who don't personally know me, which is everyone but Melissa, BigRed is a giant red blanket.. the giantest, softest, warmest blanket known to man. And I'm bringing you my top five favorite foods, a day late.
one::
Cincinnati Skyline Chili
(which I've written about, here too)
my favorite food. It's spaghetti pasta, with skyline chili, topped with cheddar cheese, and it is delish! You can also add chopped onions, or kidney beans, if that's what you like. Oyster crackers go well with it, and of course, some hot sauce is a must.

two::
The American Hamburger.
Hamburger, not cheeseburger for me please (no, I'm not lactose intolerant, or anything like that, I'm just not a big cheese person.) I love me a good burger. And load it up -lettuce, tomato, ketchup, bacon, hot sauce, load it.

three::
Sweets.
Cookies, Candy, Ice Cream, Cake, Cupcakes, etc.
Ice cream is my favorite dessert, but if it has sugar in it I'm sure I'll love it. You could say I'm addicted. My favorite would be... chocolate moose tracks topped with some redi-whip and peanuts. YUM!

four::
Momma Lane's Chicken Parmesan.
Again, anyone who knows me knows that I do NOT like spaghetti sauce. I dont want it on my pizza, or spaghetti, or mozzarella sticks, or anything. Its gross, don't put it by me. But, I can handle plain jane tomato sauce. And thats exactly how my mom makes her Chicken Parm. Next time she makes it maybe I'll share the recipe with y'all. It's a winner fo sho.

five::
Perdue Chicken Nuggets.
Of course a Lane's food list wouldn't be complete without chicken nuggets.
Any chicken nugget is good, don't get me wrong. But my mom buys Perdue. You can buy them frozen or refrigerated, both are wonderful. An honorable mention nugget would be TGI Friday's chicken strips, if you haven't had them I'd definitely order them next time you hit up a TGIF.

There ya have it folks. My favorite foods.

Orange Juice and Emergen-C.

I have the common cold.

I've been sleeping, drinking OJ and Emergen-C (and can I just say Emergen-C is one of the grossest things on this planet), and popping my vitamins.

I have zero energy, and so all the energy I can muster up goes towards coaching volleyball.

So, with that said, I'm going to take a nice warm shower, take more meds, and go to my volleyball game.

I'll post again when I'm feeling better.

Until then, adios amigos!

Oh, and by the way, the wedding was AMAZING, details to come later.

Pre-Game? Pre-Party? Pre-Wedding.

TODAY IS FRIDAY! What's even more exciting than that? TODAY IS WEDDING DAY EVE!! Today starts the wedding festivities of Randy and Melissa! I couldn't be happier for the two of them. Randy has been a great older brother, and Melissa is already like a sister to me -now they're making it official. yayayaya! I can't wait to dance the night away, and drink those dranks, and go beer for beer with Melissa Lear Lane.

1.  Right now the weather where I live is    wonderful! Cool, yet warm, and sunny .

2.  The best piece of advice I've been given is  I've had great advice given to me through the years. "Don't tell me how rough the water is, just bring the ship in" -as in, don't complain about the job you have to do, just get it done. And, to always, ALWAYS, stand up for yourself and your beliefs; "respect others and their views, and demand that they respect yours" -Act of Valor .

3.  My most favorite person in all the world is   a hard one to pick. I love my family and close friends more than anything else. It's definitely my parents, brothers, or grandma. They are always there for me, and I love them dearly.

4. If I were to have a "mission statement" for my life, it would be    "It is what it is" ;; "YOLOBRO" ;; "win like you've won before, lose like it's a good change of pace".

5. My most favorite item in my closet is   I have no idea.

6. The best cure for a bad day is   a good movie, a good laugh, and a good sleep.

7.  Today is   the day before Randy//Melissa's wedding! The rehearsal dinner, the pre-party, the pre-game tailgate if you will.

Chicken Nugget Day

Yesterday, September 12, was Chicken Nugget Day for the Lane family. Yes, we really celebrate a chicken nugget day, don't judge us! Okay, I'll let you judge us. Ya see, it was the first day Randy tried his first McDonalds chicken nugget years ago.. 23 years ago I believe. So every year a family friend buys Randy chicken nuggets.

It's okay that...

we lost our game yesterday.

I already know I will feel like crap on Sunday, after a night of celebrating.

I get sick once a year, and of course, I get a cold the week before the wedding.

Erin and I got lost Tuesday and couldn't go through with our original plans.

Erin and I went to Melt instead -that place is delish!

I missed a pepper packing party, because of volleyball.

volleyball is making me miss things here and there, I have a great team and I absolutely love coaching them.

I have so much to do these next few days.

I just tried to change the channel and realized the remote control is on the other side of the room.

SPORTS UPDATE::
Hilltopper Football: Won their third game, and are now 3-0.
Topper Volleyball: Won Tuesday, but lost Wednesday. 3-2.
Bucks: Move to  2-0 defeating Central Florida.
Browns: Lost their first game, surprise surprise. Although it was pretty close, it's still a loss. 0-1.
GBPackers // STLRams: Both lost. 0-1 and 0-1.
Chi-town Bears: Won, 1-0.
Oregon, Bama, OKSooners: All won, 1-0 for all.

Never Forget, Always Remember

Today marks the 11th anniversary of that tragic day. September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001, I was a Chardon Middle School 6th grader, just going about my day. It was in 4th period reading with Mrs. Rosenguard that we knew something wasn't right. She was pacing the room, trying to send out calls, while we all just sat there. Normally if a teacher give you a 'free day' everyone talks and goofs around. But, for the most part we all just sat there. We were young but we had enough common sense to know something was wrong.

Throughout the whole day the teachers tried to treat it like any other day but you could clearly tell that still something was wrong. What was wrong, we didn't know.

It wasn't until 9th period (out of a 10 class period day), that we found out what exactly happened. The principal came over the PA system and told the school the horrible events that occurred. Being a young 6th grader I still didn't understand the full effect. 'What is the World Trade Center? How does this affect Chardon, Ohio?' I remember thinking. Little did I know, it was about to be the biggest, most tragic event on U.S. soil of my generation, and it would stay in my heart forever.

When I arrived home that day, my mom was emotional and visibly upset. That is the moment when I realized this was big. Bigger than I expected. My mom explained what happened, and that's when I felt what my teachers, and all of America was feeling the whole day. I watched the news with my parents, and was really paying attention to all of it.

I will never forget what happened September 11, 2001.

11 years later, and it still feels like it happened yesterday.
11 years later, and we're still going strong.
11 years later, and we have not forgotten.

My Favorite Vacation Destination

Niagara Falls, Canada.

Yes, it really is my favorite vacation destination. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Las Vegas -who doesn't? But, Niagara is dear to my heart.

The background::
The Lane family has gone to Niagara Falls every year for a few days during spring break since, I wanna say about 1998. But it's not just us, it's also the Malone family, The Fellows, Varcelli's, etc etc etc. It started off with just us, the Hawthorne Woods Crew (my old neighborhood), and grew from there. One year we had 50+ people.

Anyways, it's always been great. As a kid we played for hours in the arcade, and swam in the pool. As we all grew up it became walking around the strip with no parental guidance, going to haunted houses, viewing the Falls, and still hitting up the arcade. Being even older now, it's more drinking, gambling at the casinos, viewing the Falls, the most EPIC bumper cars ever, the haunted houses, and a game of laser-tag or two.

This year, 2012, was the first year I couldn't make it on the family trip because of school. agh. However, Melissa gave me my Niagara Falls fixin -thank you! :)

 The Bachelorette Party::
We celebrated Melis' bachelorette party up in Canada. It was a fantastic time with really awesome people. We did an overnight trip, ate, drank, danced, and laughed.
Myself, Malone, Becca, and Sam, stayed in a wonderful cheap hotel called, the Victoria Motor Inn. Sounds spectacular, huh? Actually it wasn't bad at all for a couple college students // recent college grads for one night.

And, their lamp shades were in mint condition (inside joke)
see? mint condition!
Here's how the night started...

and, that about sums up the rest of the night, too. I had a blast.

Melissa, I believe, had a great time too. Oh, and for Melis's gift myself and Malone put together a "hangover cure" basket. It had everything from Advil, to Gatorade, vitamins, caffeine, and sunglasses, to more alcohol. And the basket was a 'puke bucket'. We had everyone sign their name on the bucket, and we wrote Melissa's Bachelorette Party Niagara Falls, Canada August 11. I think it turned out awesome.

Sunday Social

Here we go Brownies, here we go! woof woof! :)

1. What is the name of your blog and how did you come up with it??
      History in the Making. When I was setting up my blog I wanted a fun name, but also something that fit. I thought doing a song lyric would be fun, and I knew I could eventually come up with something that would work. I browsed my country songs on my iPod and found History in the Making by Darius Rucker, and knew immediately that was the title I wanted.

2. What do you love the most about blogging??
     I love that I can look back and remember everything I've done, someday that's going to come in handy. I also love the kindness of others, and the comments I get.

3. What are your 2 favorite posts you've written?
      Oh wow, I guess:: Las Vegas  and  First is the Worst, Second is the Best
      I picked my Las Vegas post because I had the time of my life on that vacation. And, I picked my second post ever written because it was my first real post that got History in the Making started.

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
      Do it because you want to, not because you feel that you have to. Don't feel obligated to post everyday. If you miss a day, who cares?

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
      I've expanded my belief on how important it is to stay true to yourself.

6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to be following that you love.
     Eleven Sixty (even if she's on a mini hiatus)
     Life & Everything Else In Between
     Bourbon and Glitter
     Two Smuppies
       ...and mine of course! :)

FRIDAY!

First off, I'd like to say that my 7th graders won their game last night, making their record 2-1 -yahoo! :)
They played awesome. However, the opposing teams coach was downright insane. For a second I had to make sure it was still a middle school match, seeing as they were taking it as if it was the state championship game or the Olympics. Crazyness, it's middle school, just let the girls have fun.

Anyways...
1.  My favorite grade in school was    all of high school was fun. Actually I enjoyed every grade. I guess Senior year was the easiest class wise, so maybe that.
2.  My favorite teacher was  I had a bunch of great teachers. Mr Hewitt -high school history cause he knew my family and the class was easy; Mr Hanson -5th grade cause he was funny; honorable mentions: Miss B -3rd grade, and Mrs McCandless -4th grade.
3.  The highest level of education I have completed is   some college, still working on a degree.
4. School lunches for me were usually    I bought lunch pretty much daily up until high school, then I started packing. But lunch itself was always fun.
5. The amount of money you'd have to pay me to go back to high school would be  if someone wanted to pay me, I'd take it. But I like were I've gone, and who I've become, but I really had a great high school experience.
6. A few things that will always remind me of going back to school are:  August, school supplies, new clothes, sports (football/volleyball).
7.  The first day of school was always   exciting! However also dreadful with those early mornings.

1. What is your favorite fall family tradition?
         There's a few things... going trick-r-treating in my old neighborhood; going to Friday night football games; playing an annual Turkey Bowl game on Thanksgiving; or Black Friday shopping with my cousin.

2. If money weren't an issue, how many kids would you have?
       No more than three, please.

3. If you were to get a tattoo, what would it be and where would you put it?
       I do have a tattoo, I have two actually. My first one is on my right ankle, it's a shamrock with the word Slainte arched over it (which means cheers to good health in Gaelic), the second one I got is on my left shoulder blade and it says life is good with a heart after it (in memory of my Aunt and in honor of my Grandma.. my grandma drew the heart on one of my birthday cards)

4. What condiment is a must in your house?
        Hot sauce, BBQ sauce, ketchup. We always have those three. The hot sauce and the BBQ sauce we always have about 5-10 different kinds of. (right now I can think of 7 BBQs off the top of my head, and at least 11 hot sauces)

5. How did your spouse/fiance propose?
     I do not have a spouse or a fiance.

Friend me on Goodreads, here! and/or friend me on selfari, here!

Today I'm talking about the book Stalk Me by Jillian Dodd, it's part of the Keatyn Chronicles.
 Here's what Goodreads says::
Gossip girl meets Hollywood in this new series by That Boy author, Jillian Dodd.
Keatyn has everything she ever dreamed of. Her life is following the script she wrote for the perfect high school experience. She’s popular, goes to the best parties, dates the hottest guy, and sits at the most coveted lunch table. She’s just not sure she wants it anymore. Because really, things aren’t all that perfect. Her best friend is threatening to tell everyone her perfect relationship is a scam. Her perfect boyfriend gets drunk at every party they go to. It’s exhausting always trying to look and act perfect. And deep down, she isn’t sure if she has any true friends.
 To add to the drama, her movie star mom’s long-time fan has turned stalker. An older man is flirting with her and telling her they should make a movie together. And she’s crushing on an adorable surfer. Dating a guy like him would mean committing social suicide.
 So she writes a new script. One where all the pieces of her life will come together in perfect harmony. But little does she know, there’s someone who will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Here's what I say::
One of my favorite books. Quick and easy. Page turner. I couldn't put it down. I definitely recommend it. I rate it an A.

Where is the Fall weather?

Seriously, why is it still 80 degrees outside? I don't even live in a warm area. I want the jeans and a t-shirt weather.

But until then...
 Seven Wants::

1- I want it to be September 15th already.
2- I want the Brownies to go to the Superbowl... a girl can dream, can't she?
3- I want the Fall weather to be here.
4- I want all the food I see on Food Network // Travel Channel shows.
5- I want a claddagh ring.
6- I want my friends and family to be happy and healthy and loving life.
7- I want to have a million dollars.

I'm loving...

that football is back, Go Buckeyes and Go Brownies!

Jillian Dodd's books -half way through Stalk Me and I cannot put it down.

Big Brother this season. (I usually always love it, but this year it's really good.)

that all the Fall shows will be coming back soon (The Office, Community, Cougar Town, Happy Endings, Modern Family).

I had four days off of volleyball this past weekend, it was a nice little break.

in less than two weeks, 10 days to be exact, we'll be celebrating a Lane Wedding.

Weekend Update - September?!

Can you believe it's already September?! Nine months into 2012 already, this year is really flying by. At least it seems that way for me. In two.. TWO.. weeks I'll have a sister! Well, a sister-in-law at least.. which is good enough for me.

Friday::
I had to work, but only 5 - 8pm so it wasn't bad at all. And Erin visited me. That was nice as well. After work I relaxed at home and watched TV with mom, and yes, I did watch some Ghost Adventures. I'm just so addicted, I can't help it! The beginning makes me laugh every time "I'm Zak Bagans, I never believed in ghosts until I came face to face with one" -how do you not love that // laugh at that? But thats all, that was my Friday. I did next to nothing.

Saturday::
Woke up bright and early to do a 5k run/walk. Last weekend I walked three miles for the Heart Walk, this time we did three miles for ollllllld friends of the family. The Miller Paul Marut 5k was introduced to Concord, Ohio, a few years ago, after Miller Marut passed away from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). The Maruts raise money for their school district, which Miller would have attended. Anyways, so my mom and I walked in that with Mo, Tallon, Jason, and Cassandra. It was a good time, and a good way to get some exercise without really trying. Today also marked the first day of Ohio State Football!!!! Go Buckeyes!!!! So after a stop at iHop, it was home to watch the game. I caught most of the Buckeyes game before heading off to work -the Bucks destroyed Miami of Ohio by the way. After work it was back home to enjoy a cold drink next to a warm bonfire, with a little country music.

Sunday::
I relaxed for most of the day, then enjoyed the great Geauga County Fair! Yee-haw! I got all my fair food fixin's, which consisted of a gyro, a few of Randy/Melissa's french fries, a funnel cake (which I split with Randy), and the freshest chocolate milkshake known to man. All of it was absolutely delish. The gyro really hit the spot. I wish I could have eaten even more -and I wish I had the money to spend so I could eat more- everything looked and smelled so good! ..sorry guys, I should haven taken pictures.

 Monday::
Labor Day! We enjoyed a few cold beverages pool side at a family friends house. It's always a good time. Here is the only picture I took...

Sunday Social

What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
    Definitely Las Vegas. I loved every second of it, the whole trip was a blast. However, Niagara Falls is a close second. That was amaze-balls too! (you can read about Vegas... here!)

Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item?
    I'm into the neon colors right now.

What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?
    I'm pretty sure I did everything I wanted to. I guess not getting jaw surgery would have been nice, but I didn't really have a choice with that.

Favorite Song of the Summer?
    Oh wow, thats a tough one. Any of these::

Kip Moore's entire CD.

 Pontoon - Little Big Town

Island Song - Zac Brown Band

Cruise - Florida Georgia Line

Favorite movie/tv show of the summer?
    Big Brother - TV Show.
      I finally watched Hunger Games, so I guess I'll say that for a movie.

Happy Sunday!
