Idol Inspiration

anyone watching American Idol?

I'll watch it if I can, but if I miss an episode I could care less. but last night I was watching the auditions and came across two guys.

#1) Matheus Fernandes. he looks like a normal guy, except that he's extremely short. and that's coming from a girl who's 5'2 on a good day.

here's his audition and his story..

I don't know about y'all, but I love this guy. he became my new favorite person. I was so happy for him that he made it through to Hollywood. I hope he goes far in the competition, Matheus certainly has my vote.

#2) Micah Johnson.

I was not expecting his voice to sound like it did, at all. I was blown away when he started singing. I will def be cheering on Micah. plus, anyone that knows me knows that Chicken Fried is one of my all-time favs.

those two are my favorites as of yet.

blow out your candles...

sorry but I'm about to drown you in pictures you dont/wont care about...

today is my bestest friend's birthday.. Happy Birthday Malone!!

and even though she won't see this, because basically none of my real life friends know about this blog.. only Randy and Melissa.. this post is dedicated to her.

 Malone is my very best friend. She is always... always... there for me. even if it's 4am and she's mid-puke, she answers my phone calls. but you didn't hear that from me.

classiest person I know.
we've been friends forever.
literally, forever.
we always act like idiots when we're around each other, and laugh like wild hyenas.. and I wouldn't have it any other way.

BFFS.

we constantly make fun of one another.. and people have even questioned if we're actually friends...

smooshing cake in my face, on my 21st... we're not friends.
okay, okay.. we're actually friends.
she knows everything about me.. which is the only reason I keep her around, she knows too much.

plus, there would be no Team Blackout without her... and all those family vacations our families went on together, I would have had no one to hang with except my brothers, and her brothers.

Beer Olympics 2012.
don't tell her I said any of this by the way... I have a reputation to uphold.

Erin, thanks for everything. thanks for being one hell of a friend. one hell of a Team Blackout member. one hell of a great person. I hope your 20th birthday is fantastic.. one more year -21 in 2014!

so, Erin, Happy Birthday!! I love you lots.. butnotreally. :)

okay, I'll stop boring you now.
Happy Wednesday!

"what is your spaghetti policy?"

I'd like to take a second before jumping into my first ever 10 on Tues, to welcome Stephanie back to the blogging world. I know Melissa and I both missed ya, and I'm glad you're back with us now!

one::  I want to go to Boston so I can eat at Wahlburgers. who wants to give me money so I can fly there? just e-mail me. thanks a bunch.
oh hey there Marky Mark. I love his intensity and badass-ness.

two:: I'm obsessed with snapchat and sending random/stupid pictures to my friends. "if you don't piss each other off once in a while you're not best friends" true statement.

three:: I give you Brayden Schenn of the Philadelphia Flyers, my favorite hockey player.
even his name is awesome.

four:: the American Idol auditions are by far my fav part of AI. some of the people that try out are too ridic for words. and all I do is laugh. although Nicki Minaj annoys the fuck out of me.. I seriously cannot stand her.

five:: I bought the Country MegaTicket last week!!! woot woot!! that means this summer I get to see... Tim McGraw (for the 4th time), Kenny Chesney (for the 3rd time), Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton (for the 2nd time), Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert (for the 2nd time), Love and Theft (for the 2nd time), Eli Young Band, Kacey Musgraves, The Band Perry (for the 3rd time), Toby Keith (for the 3rd time), Kip Moore, Easton Corbin, Jana Kramer (for the 2nd time), Jason Aldean (for the 2nd time), Jake Owen (for the 2nd time), Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Thompson Square, Florida Georgia Line. and normally Keith Urban (for the 2nd time), Little Big Town, and Dustin Lynch, but unfortunately I know I will not be able to make it to Keith's concert. nonetheless, still should be one hell of a summer.

six:: saw a commercial for Puppy Bowl IX. February 3rd at 3pm on Animal Planet. WATCH IT. this is not a suggestion. you have to watch it. it's a bunch of puppies playing, who wouldn't want to see that?

seven:: peppermint tea and bigred. bigred is what we call that huge red blanket.
yummy and cozy.

eight:: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is tied up with The Office for my favorite show. I laugh like a hyena throughout every single episode. every one. it's possibly the funniest show I've ever seen. I just finished season six.. and working on season seven. the blooper reels are hilarious. I cry laughing. the post title quote is from IASIP. "I feel like if you and I were in a room with a perfectly good cheesecake, all sorts of conversation would start happening"

nine:: remember this picture from a post last week...?
this was taken exactly one week ago. see the "real feel -16"? yea, well, today it's a high of 55. but Friday we're dropping back to the teens. Ohio weather is so ridic, you gotta love it.

ten:: okay, I know I already asked for money to go eat at Wahlburgers see numero uno but I'm going to ask for money again. I clearly need money. I want to eat at The Tattooed Moose. but that's in SC and I'm in OH. so that doesn't work too well. if you'd like to donate to 'Cassie wants to eat at sweet restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' please don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail. I will gladly take cash or check. paypal. we can work something out. thanks a bunch! hey, it can't hurt to ask.. right?

Weekend Update - GalsNightIn

Friday::
worked. then home to finish season six of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and watch Ghost Adventures. typically I have a semi-exciting life, but January/February are slow months for me, hence my lame weekends.

Saturday::
worked. then a much needed girls night in. Ashley and Erin came over and we j chilled in my basement, talking, looking through high school year books, and watching Food Network, SNL, and Pawn Stars. while snapchatting pictures of ourselves to each other. yepp. that's how a twenty-three year old and two twenty-two year olds spent their Saturday night. but my excuse is that there was too much snow to venture anywhere. and my Philly Flyers killed the Panthers. Go BSchenn and Matty Read! congrats to Matty for getting his first NHL hat trick, woot woot!

Sunday::
consisted mostly of watching Food Network and listening to country music. with a little hockey, sports center, and college hoops thrown in.

1/21-1/27 Goals
1:: laundry
2:: get season six of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
3:: organize movies
4:: finish the book I'm reading
5:: buy the country MegaTicket

1/28-2/3 Goals
1:: organize movies
2:: get ahead in my online class
3:: attend the Lake Erie Monsters game Thursday
4:: watch the 49ers win the superbowl
5:: continue wearing/cleaning my retainters

"walking in a winter wonderland"

oh, I thought it was Christmas time... considering all this snow we've been getting...

this is from the other morning, we've accumulated even more since. now you can't see the bottom shelf on the table.. but that's my deck.

its also been cold. I love Ohio weather.. two weeks ago we had a high of 60 degrees.. now we have this...

notice the "real feel" :: -16. AWESOME. notice how they also show sun for Wednesday when it was a blizzard the whole day. weather people are really good at their jobs.

and then driving conditions such as....

15 MPH on the highway. love it.

and we're supposed to get rounds three and four today//tomorrow... but enough of that.. now it's time for...

Looper

 what IMDb says::
In 2074, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self.

what I say::
FANTASTIC. loved it. and as an added bonus Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in it. it's a bit confusing at first cause the whole time travel shit but I like movies that are thinkers. Netflix this baby, it's a good one.

The Holiday

what IMDb says::
Two women troubled with guy-problems swap homes in each other's countries, where they each meet a local guy and fall in love.

what I say::
so I'm seven years late on this one, but I'm so glad I watched it.. better late than never, right?! it was really good. I was cracking up. I was sad. I was so glad I watched it finally. if you haven't watched The Holiday yet, watch it.

SEVEN ~ NINE

obsessions. right now one would think I'd be obsessed with The Bachelor. especially since it's Sean. but instead I'm obsessed with hockey. is that weird? that's weird. sadly it's true though. I've recently became obsessed with hockey. I've never been a big hockey person but the other day I learned a lot of the rules and really got into it. Go Blue Jackets, and Go Flyers! I decided those are the two team I like. the BJackets lost last night, in a shoot out. it was intense and awesome, except for the fact that they lost.

 alright, seven people I'd like to meet. that's a tough one, there are so many people I'd like to meet. how am I supposed to narrow it to seven... I'll give it a shot though...

Brad Paisley
my favorite country singer. he's humble, funny, and a Cleveland Browns fan. match made in Heaven? I think so. move over Kimberly.

Rob Dyrdek
 Rob is hilarious, and crazy, and I love every second of it. I think he'd be super fun to hang out with. he makes me crack up. and he's a fellow Ohioan!

Zac Efron
 anyone that knows me, I think knows that I am in love with Zac. he's so freakin attractive. and look at him with that football.. are you kidding me?!

Luke Bryan
 oh Luke. just look at him. how would anyone not want to meet him. I mean seriously. he's funny, and country, and a fantastic singer. and he always wears a ball cap, that's just an extra bonus. he just seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Emma Stone
 I think Emma Stone is brilliant. I think she's hysterical, and a phenomenal actress. I love Easy A, and Crazy Stupid Love. It would be so cool to meet Emma, I feel like she'd be super down to earth.

Ellen Degeneres
 I love watching her talk show. Ellen is hilarious. and super nice, always giving to charities and giving away money/trips. and she tends to stay in touch with those people, which I think is awesome.

James Laurinatis
  my all-time favorite Buckeye. now playing for St Louis. he'll always be one of my favorite players, no matter what team he's on. "I got a disease, and it's called Laurinatis"

Dane Sanzenbacher
 another previous Buckeye. now playing for Da Bears. again, someone who will always be one of my favorite players no matter what team he's on. Go Sanzy!

Omar Vizquel
  former Indian, former MLB player. was my favorite player since I started having favorite players. I followed him from team to team always making sure I went to an Indians game when they were playing Omar. he'll always be my favorite ball player, even if he's retired now.

okay so that was nine.. but oh well.. deal with it.
and those were in no particular order.. although Mr. Paisley would probably be numero uno.

honorable mentions::
Seth MacFarland
Denzel Washington
Ryan Gosling
Jennifer Aniston
Carrie Underwood
Miranda Lambert
Kip Moore
Kenny Chesney
Tim McGraw
Jack Hannahan
Adam Sandler
Jake Gyllenhaal
Danny 'Boobie' Gibson
Asdrubal Cabrera
The Ghost Adventures guys
Josh Duhamel
Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings
etc.

but let's be real for a second. if any one of these people actually talked to me I'd have a heart attack. I'd probably just freeze and respond with something like "Mr./Mrs. (last name here) blah blah blah (like Charlie Browns teacher)"

Weekend Update - MEGAticket

Friday::
worked. then home to relax, watched Contraband and Looper. I really enjoyed Looper. Contraband was pretty good too. both solid movies. I highly recommend Looper, it's that good. and that was my Friday.. exciting, right?

Saturday::
worked. then home to chill out. work was cray-cray. it was 'winter fest' on the Square. Chardon has a square in like the middle of the town, and various events are held there every year. winter fest brought a shit-ton of people. but I had my country music playing to keep me relaxed and focused.. bee-tea-dubs, the country megaticket was announced Friday- this summer is going to be amazeballs, they stacked the house with great performers. I will most def be buying the megaticket and attending the concerts. I'M SO EXCITED!! and I'm sure you'll hear more about that as we make our way towards summer. anyways, after work it was home to just chill out. watched Syracuse take down #1 Louisville, and unfortunately my Buckeyes lost to MichSt. I don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, we're from OHIO. then Dad and I watched Moonshiners. hah.

Sunday::
slept in. watched more shows with Dad, some kinda bacon show and How It's Made. we tend to watch random shows. then a little hockey, I'm not big on hockey, but I'm becoming more of a hockey person. then of course I had to watch the big games. congrats to the 49ers.. hope you win the superbowl.

insert funny title here

I want to be real. I want this blog to reflect who I am whether people like it or not. so from here on out my word choice will be a tad different. in real life I don't really swear that much unless I'm drunk.. but in my mind I swear all the time, I just don't speak it. usually as I'm typing I think swear words in my mind but I left them out to be considerate. but right now I don't give a damn. if I think it, it's coming out.

story time tommy::
stressed is desserts spelled backwards.
good thing I ate a shit-ton of candy earlier.. cause otherwise I'd explode.
my friends got me a bunch of candy when I got my braces off it's been a week bee-tea-dubs (that's my way of saying by the way) anyways like I already say I ate way too much of it today. I couldn't help myself, it was so good. but. I'm glad I did.
I just had to do an online quiz, so I'm totally acing it and complete the whole damn thing thirty minutes and hit submit, and boom. nothing but a stupid effen message that says you've been logged out and our stupid effen website cannot complete the submission. so I panic. re-sign-in. and go look to see if it somehow went through. it didn't. awesome. sweet. love it. luckily, we get to take the quiz twice so I still had another opportunity to do it. but of course the questions aren't the same, and now I'm pissed at the stupid effen website. and terrified it's going to happen again. I re-take the quiz. hit submit. it goes through. thank the Lord. or all my candy would be gone.
moral of the story, candy solves everything. right, Randy?

That Wedding

 Goodreads says::
The gorgeous engagement ring on my finger mimics my happiness. I feel so sparkly, glittery, and full of promise, because I absolutely know he's that boy. The boy I want to marry. My prince. My happily ever after. But then our pastor starts asking lots of questions. His parents say I haven’t dealt with my past. I have horrible wedding disaster dreams. I can’t find the perfect dress. I have to manipulate him to get my way. An old boyfriend asks me to run away with him. My best friend says I'm going to ruin everything. And forever starts to sound like a really long time. Which totally freaks me out and makes me question everything I know. Should best friends get married? Will my past affect our relationship? Are my horrible dreams a warning? Will I ever find a dress? Could his sexiness be clouding my judgment? Am I going to ruin everything? Or is it just a case of cold feet? And then I have to decide. Am I willing to give up on true love forever, or am I going to listen to my heart and marry him?

I say::
eh. I liked That Boy way more. this was actually very sexual. way more than anyone would have ever guessed or imagined or thought. I found that odd. it dragged on in the middle, I actually stopped reading it for a few weeks then figured I might as well finish it. so I did. the ending was good. the rest of it, eh. quick read though. I give it a B-.

1. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people, and foods would you take along?
I would bring my family. books:: PS, I Love You ; The Hunger Games Trilogy ; and a few I haven't read yet but want to read like Safe Haven ; The Lucky One ; and something Carol//Mary Higgins Clark. movies:: The Sandlot, Remember the Titans, The Proposal, The 'Burbs, and either Just Friends or Source Code. food:: hamburgers, chicken nuggets, skyline chili, ice cream, and hot sauce.

2. What is your thought on year round school?
in the words of Dane Cook, "fuck that, I quit."

3. What is your most embarrassing potty story?
hmm, I have two. that aren't really embarrassing but definitely funny. 1) peeing in the woods at a concert with Brian's ex-girlfriend  and these guys started walking over and saying retarded things so I yelled at them. 2) I was at a house party of a friend's friend and the only bathroom had a door to the garage and a door to the house neither of them locked. so my two friends and I had to barricade the doors when someone had to pee.

4. What's the temperature where you are?
in my room it's a solid 68 degrees, thank you heater. outside it's 32 and dropping fast according to my phone.

5. Are you a winter/spring/fall/summer person?
fall and summer. I love how fun the summer is.. bonfires, concerts, etc. but it's so damn hot. and then I love the fall weather, football, leaves changing color, etc. but that leads to winter.

"and then I'm going to kill Osama bin Laden"

Zero Dark Thirty

what IMDbdays::
A chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May 2011.

what I say::
FANTASTIC. seriously phenomenal. I loved it. although, it did seem to drag in the middle a little bit, but I think I was just anxious for the attack. everything about this movie was great. it's informational and patriotic, with even a few laughs thrown in. I highly recommend seeing Zero Dark Thirty. AMERICA!

It's okay that...

...my blog title post is about killing Osama bin Laden.
...school has started up again and winter break is over.

...I'm thinking of doing another movie marathon this weekend.

...I work tomorrow and Saturday.

...I think Danny DeVito in skinny jeans is one of the funniest things I've ever seen (season five, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

...I'm addicted to my Droid Razr Maxx HD and have a shit-ton of apps.

...I haven't done an 'it's okay Thursday' since last year, 2012, and pre-end of the world.

...I have to wear retainers to bed now that my braces are off.

...I also have permanent retainers.

...I don't go back to the ortho until April, boo-yah!

...I just said boo-yah.

*also, don't forget I have a sponsor page now, for free ad space. use it up!
