tonight is the Rascal Flatts concert, woot woot!! this is my first time seeing Rascal. all day I will be pregaming//day drinking for it. but for now we talk sports for Fan Friday.


here's a few things people are talking about...

Chicago Blackhawks. they just won the Stanley Cup. which means they won the hockey championship. they played the Boston Bruins and won by scoring two goals within 17 seconds, it was INTENSE. but personally I didn't really care which team won since neither were my Philly Flyers.

Aaron Hernandez. a former New England Patriot, he's no longer with them due to the fact that he murdered his friend. oh, and now he's being investigated for a possible additional two murders. what a winner he is.

UCLA in the CWS. UCLA won the college world series for their first time. they beat Mississippi St.

Ausar Walcott. one of my own Brownies charged with attempted murder. he punched a dude. and I think we released him because of it. eh, he wasn't an important member anyways.

I could also tell you that Brazil Advances. but does anyone actually watch soccer? I think they're playing Spain now?

not only did Maria Sharapova lose, but Rodger Federer was also upset. if you know anything about Tennis, which I don't think is that many people, you probs know that Rodger Federer is like the Tom Brady of Tennis so this is big.

NBA Draft. that just happened too. I'm not particularly interested in professional basketball, I like college hoops more. but I can tell you that my Cavs did okay.

I could talk Tribe, and tell ya that we're doing alright. we're only 2.5 games behind first place. I'll take it.

Kenny Chesney '13

a week ago I went to the KChes concert, and it was awesome. Kenny did a fantastic job. he basically always puts on a great show, this was my third time seeing him.

story time... okay, see that guy in the American tank two pictures up? well, apparently one night at the bars one of my friends (probs Erin) went up to him randomly and said go tell that girl (meaning me) that you like the Buckeyes. so he came over to me and was like "yea Buckeyes" and so naturally I yelled "Go Buckeyes" and gave him a high five. I don't remember that, but he does. small world, huh?

driving to the concert we were stuck in stop-n-go traffic for like an hour or so. it sucked. we arrived to the venue an hour past what we expected.

all in all it was a fantastic time.
tomorrow is the Rascal Flatts concert.. here we go again!!

I don't think it's unknown that I think Jimmy Kimmel is freaking hilarious. he's the best late night guy, in my opinion.

Lane Family Golf Outing

the Lane Family Golf Outing is a golf outing most of my extended family play in annually. we always do a 4-some scramble, which just means there are four people on a team and scramble means everyone hits the ball whatever ball was hit the best you go to that ball and then all hit again, repeating the process until you give it a little tappy into the hole.

anyways, I only golf once a year for said outing. otherwise I think it's extremely boring. of course, in this family outing alcohol is consumed throughout the event so I can tolerate it.

this year my team consisted of myself, SIL Melissa, Uncle, and Brian's friend Brad.

here's basically how it went...

the whole time Melissa used a ball that said "mojo" on it and all I kept thinking about was Mojojojo from the power puff girls. I couldn't stop laughing whenever Melissa would say it.

I also may or may not have puked a little bit on hole 15. thanks to my Uncle. it was kind of a you had to be there moment, but basically my uncle did something funny while I was mid-sip and I started choking//laughing.

oh, and, I got longest drive!! (we have certain category competitions on a few holes)

by the way, I was running off of 4hrs of sleep, some Monster, and two mini donuts. needless to say, it was a long ass day. thanks to my vodka//Monster, strawberry daq, and a few bottles of water, I made it through. hilarious day. love my teammates, no one got left in the woods, Melissa didn't take her shirt off and climb a tree, I'd say it was successful.. except we all suck at putting.

KChes concert. it was amazingly awesome!! more on that Thursday, for now...

recovered all day. watched Silver Linings Playbook, which was good. my mom loved it, I didn't think it was super great but rather just alright. and watched The Guilt Trip, which was good too. I was hoping for it to be funnier but it was just kinda average comedy wise.

Saturday::
opened Beans. then Marky's graduation party all night. it was a fun time as always. cornhole, bonfire, good food, good friends, and cold drinks.

Sunday::
Lane Family Golf Outing. after 4hrs of sleep, two mini doughnuts, and a Monster, I was ready to golf. it was a blast! then it was home for much needed nap, some Psych, and more sleep.  more on the outing tomorrow.

1:: Kenny Chesney concert last night was AMAZING. Kenny did fantastic, as usual.
2:: day off from work today!
3:: AVars grad party last Saturday was fun, and Marky's is tomorrow. love the Hawthorne Woods gang.
4:: Fathers Day was successful. dad loved his gift card for meat at Sams Club, and we had a delicious lunch.
5:: the Lane Family Golf Outing is Sunday! and the Rascal Flatts concert is next Friday!

they're finding their groove again. we almost swept the Royals, Rangers, and Nationals.. I'll take that! they have the Twins for the next series. Raburn is doing pretty well, I wish he had more playing time.. plus, his walk-up song is always country music. #RollTribe

Weekend Update - AVar Grad Party

Friday::
lounged around, and watched a few more episodes of Arrested Development, I'm almost done with the new season. then the fam and cousins James//Mo with their kids went to dinner at Quaker Steak and Lube. I got a delicious cheesesteak sandwich. paired with a sangria-rita and a long island, hello happy hour. we stopped back at James//Mo's house afterwards, where my four year old cousin was 'teaching' me how to hold a bat (I started playing baseball when I was 5 years old, so this was very amusing to me.)

opened Beans. napped. then Anthony's graduation party. I've known AVar since he was like, I don't know, three maybe? it was a good time, with good food, and good friends. a few Redd's Apple Ales were tipped back before crashing out in Malone's basement.

Fathers Day. the fam went to Zappatelli's, an italian restaurant here. my dad's response to 'what do you want for fathers day' was, "meat." so we got him a Sams Club gift card so he can buy meat to smoke//grill. #TypicalLane

well, we were doing good. then decided to stop I guess. my boys were on an 8 game losing streak, yikes! Swishy is in a rut that he needs to get out of. they're disappointing me more than waking up on Thursday thinking it's Friday. oh, and Chris Perez, when the fans say "roll tribe" we don't mean that kinda roll. (Perez was arrested for drug paraphernalia being delivered to his house.. way to keep it classy, idiot).
but, at least we're not the Astros.
I'm also going through baseball withdraw. last game I went to was like a month ago. huh? how did that happen?

my Flyers just acquired Mark Streit for their 4th round draft pick. I'm not actually sure if this is good cause I don't know who Streit is, but it happened. so there's that.
