thanks to my amazing drinking habits I was nominated for the Ivrester Award by Chelsee! woot woot!

before I get into the deets, I want to share this story.. the other day I went to the liquor store. I bought some fireball whiskey. I usually get carded everywhere I go, even when buying lotto tickets, cause I look 12. but this time the guy says, "I don't have to see your ID, I've carded you before.. I remember you cause I see you a lot." --he probs thinks I'm an alcoholic. oh well.

1. What is your favorite drinking game and why? I'm a big fan of bullshit pyramid and ride the bus. oh, or beer die, that's good too. I pick those because you can just relax around a table with friends//family and make other people drink. it's fun. I also love cornhole and frisbeer.

2. It's your birthday, what's your idea of a perfect evening? I'd say go to an Indians game with my friends//family but since my birthday is in November.. I'll say.. have friends//family come over and drink the night away.


3. Money is no object, what's your drink of choice at a bar? typically it's vodka and lemonade, or rum and coke, but if money is no object I'd get something more fun like... captain and red bull, or a mojito, or a giant margarita.

 

4. How many times have you played the game Edward 40 Hands? never played it, I don't like beer. sorrynotsorry.

5. Take this quiz, what score did you get? 9 out of 20, 45%.

6. What is your favorite memory with alcohol? that's a tough one, I've had a lot of good times. all the country concerts, Lane-Rice Beer Olympics, OSU visits, there's a lot.

8. What is your favorite activity to do while drinking? I'm a big fan of sitting around a campfire listening to country music. or sporting events, baseball games//hockey games//football games. cornhole is good too.  

9. In your opinion, what is the number one party school and why? I'd have to say either The Ohio State University or Ohio University. I've had serious good times at both.  

10. When do you know you had too much to drink, what are your signs? my eyes get hit first, it's hard to explain, but I can feel in my eyes when I'm starting to feel it. I also get really talkative and say stupid//random shizz.

things I've recently discovered... part one.

I have more hours at work this month, woot woot! and a wedding on Saturday.. which I need to prepare for. I bought a dress, I'm not sure if it's entirely "wedding" material.. but if I don't find anything else it'll have to do. and shoes. I only own one pair of heels, which I wore to Randy/Melissa's wedding but those don't match. 

anyways... here's some things I've recently discovered.


I don't like cantaloupe. I knew this before, I've never liked it. but the other day I thought "maybe my tastebuds have changed and I'll like it." nope. it's gross.

Men at Work. not actual men at my work.. I only work with three guys anyways, and one of them I'm pretty sure is gay. I'm talking about the tv show, Men at Work on TBS. it's pretty funny. I stumbled upon it when I was dog-sitting once and have been hooked since.

I love eggs. I just love them. I like them scrambled, over easy, hardboiled. I like them on breakfast sandwiches, I like them mixed with various items (ie: omelet), I like them on burgers, and toast, and everything.

my family quotes Happy Gilmore daily. literally, there is not a day that goes by when a line from Happy Gilmore is not said. there's just so many good one-liners from that movie, we can't help it.

I never want to live in Oklahoma. nothing personal against the state, it's just they get a lot of tornadoes. I hope everyone who does live in OK stays safe, and recovers from all these natural disasters.

I pack too early. when I'm going on vacation, I start packing too early. literally like a month before I'll start picking outfits and what not. I'm just always too darn excited.

Weekend Update - Tim McGraw '13

Friday::
went to the Tim McGraw concert. it was my 4th time seeing him in concert. we tailgated from 2:30-7, and it rained for about five minutes. then it was beautiful the rest of the time, and through Love & Theft and Brantley Gilbert's performances. unfortunately, it rained the entire time Tim was performing. we got soaked. because of the rain, the field parking lots were solid mud. everyone was getting stuck, it was crazy! my little Honda made it out nicely though, just needed a tiny boost of man power.. which I had access too. overall it was a fun time, as always... can't wait for the next one (Kenny Chesney, June 20).

Saturday::
cleaned the mud out of my car. played a little cornhole (which I won, by the way). watched The Guardian on tv- I had forgotten how good it is. and of course a little more Arrested Development and Psych. then it was round two of drinking, when my cousin came over.


Sunday::
relaxed all day.. watching Game Show Network and Food Network. and then I actually walked outside and went to get my car washed. just to return home and watch more Game Show Network.. (we watched Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, and a lady thought 'vowel' was spelled voul. WHAT?!)

Alcohol Infused Cupcakes

yes, you read that right. thanks to Stephanie and her brilliant drink-filled cranium. I made her "4th of July" cupcakes, Memorial Day style. I don't think there's a more fitting way to share the recipe with y'all than to link-up for Stephanie and Chelsee's party link-up.

here's how I made mine::

step one- gather your ingredients.

I tried to stay on the path of Steph's recipe since I have negative baking skills. white cake mix, some regular frosting, a cupcake pan, and blue food coloring. with the vodka of course.

I happened to have UV Cake vod and Pinnacle Cotton Candy. which is what I used.

step two- follow the recipe on the cake mix box, but substitute the water for vod (as in, 1 cup water = 1 cup of vodka). then put it into the tin, after it's lined with the paper things of course, and bake. I made mini cupcakes, the oven was 350 and they baked for about 10 min.

step three- frosting. I put the whole can into a bowl and mixed it with 4-6 tablespoons of vod. however, I realized then that it was too much frosting and I probs could have gotten away with half the can. oh well. tip:: if the frosting is too runny just add powder sugar.

step four- after the cupcakes are cooled and the frosting is ready started spreading it on, and then top with alcohol soaked cherries. recommendation:: do not use moonshine soaked cherries, people think they're too strong.

also, do not touch the pans when they are in a 350 degree oven, or this will happen

obviously I know not to touch hot items and this was an accident cause the stupid oven mit wasn't cooperating. it didn't really hurt, I'm sure it will leave a nice little scar though. oops.

there ya have it, folks! if I can manage to make them, I'm positive anyone else could. for our big firework bonfire I think I might try adding whiskey.

anyways, I'm off to work. then home to get things organized to see Tim McGraw tomorrow!! first country concert of the summer!!
