life lately

I haven't posted much lately. I've been busy. dog sitting, school, work, having a social life, etc.

here's what I've been up to...


first up, I went to the Indians game last Wednesday with Erin. we had a blast. we grabbed a few happy hour margs at my favorite mexican restaurant Zocalo before hand. during the game we made lots of friends with the people around us, it was fun and funny. Erin and I both got towels that they were throwing out, which is a good thing cause Erin ended up spilling some of her drink all over my leg and a little on the guy in front of us. oh, and my boys won!

secondly, Friday night I went to Panini's with Erin, Janel, and Diana where we had a few dranks before meeting up with Tyler and two of his buddies in Downtown Willoughby. it was a good time, but we stayed out pretty late and I had to open Beans the next morning.

which brings me to this past weekend. I opened Beans running on not even 4 hours of sleep. after work I went to a clambake my neighbors had, then Erin came over to make a few cds, then it was over to Randy and Melissa's for some drinking games. Team Lane dominated at the drinking game hockey. and Melis and I figured out I was up for 40 hours. (my record is 41 hours.) overall it was a pretty good weekend, time well spent.

Sunday was spent watching my Browns lose their first game, and checking my fantasy points. here's to another week of school and work- but there is the added bonus of Chicken Nugget Day and the Keith Urban concert. plus, I get to watch little Lo-baby Saturday night.. she's the best.

I'm super excited that Judd is back in. pumped that Elissa was HoH and now GM is. and glad Aaryn is finally out. and Zing Bot came back, I look forward to the zings every season.

The Great Geauga County Fair

this past weekend was my county's fair. it's the oldest fair in Ohio, so that's kinda cool. I guess.

anyways...

I spent most of my time with a little furball named, Adidas. she's twelve years old, and still quite active.

but I did venture to the fair for some food and country music Friday night with Erin, Janel, and Tyler. it was a good time. I got a funnel cake with peanut butter and chocolate drizzled over top. it was so phenom. and then I got some kettle corn which I shared with everyone. that was good too. I love me some fair food. after walking around and stuffing our faces, we watched Chris Higbee perform. he's a country guy trying to make it in the business. he was really good though. I already purchased a few of his songs. thanks iTunes.

after the fair, we stopped at a local bar called Cabanas for a few dranks. Tyler and I played a few more games of corn hole, which I lost. the boards were kinda damp and what not so I don't think the games should count. but I still owe him two beers, unfortunately.

Sunday I watched way too many movies. like, no one should ever watch that many movies in one day ever. so to get me outta the house I went over to Erins for a bit, we made popcorn and talked, and maybe watched a movie. maybe. okay, we did. but I can't resist The Proposal.

Fantasy Football

this is my first year playing fantasy football. I'm not sure why I haven't played before, but I'm excited for this season.

monday night I stayed up to draft my team, I feel like I have a decent team. some of the players I wanted were taken before I could get to them, but that's how the world works. like Aaron Rodgers, really wanted him. and a lot of the receivers I wanted were taken from me, but the players I did get consist of::

I got a report card of a B. so that's not bad. plus I'll be making some adjustments when we get rolling. hopefully they all stay healthy and get me some maj points.

okay, can I just start by saying the JAldean concert, tailgate and ride home was one of the funniest//funnest experiences of my life. I have the best friends ever and so many great people in my life.

with that said, we had a pretty decent sized group for the JAldean pre-party tailgate. Erin, Janel, and Tyler came with me and then we met up with my bros and the other guys.

Tyler and I have this cornhole thing, he beat me at the last concert so I owed him beer. this concert we played again, it was a long, nerve-wracking game, but I came out on top! now we're tied 1-1 and he owes me an Indians game.

the stories I could tell are priceless...

like when I was waiting outside the guys bathroom for Randy and two of his buddies, this guy comes up in front of me and flexes. he then proceeds to ask me to flex my 'traps' for him. I was like "umm, I don't have traps" he then said "what do you mean you don't have traps, how would you not" and I said "cause I don't really work out" he then made me pinky promise that I don't really work out often cause he thought I was lying. then he bowed down to me and whispered "you're going to make some guy very happy one day." I can't even make this stuff up, it was hilarious and weird. but he was cute so it was okay.

or when some random girl asked Randy's friend Brian if he could "bring me to Cassie" so Brian was like "yea I can do that" but she meant some other Cassie and not me. I had no idea who she was.

or when Jason Aldean sang She's Country I got serenaded by Randy, and his buddies Brian and Ryan.

and after the concert Tyler was so hammered he asked me 10+ times if we were going to McDonalds and if he could have a McChicken and a milkshake. it was quite amusing.

the concert itself was great too. everyone performed well.
