Weekend Update - Christmas Tree Shopping

Friday::
I made Christmas cookies. post in detail about that later this week... tomorrow? Erin helped me, and we even made these pretzel Hershey Kiss things from pinterest.

Saturday::
work, and then straight from work to babysit two of my younger cousins. we had a good time playing Sorry.. I won by the way.. and the Wii, along with a memorable Burger King run, and a visit to Grams house. the night ended with some Duck Dynasty and all three of us crashing out in the living room. after listening to Gangnam Style one too many times.


Sunday::
it was time to pick out the 2012 Lane Family Christmas Tree. a post on that later this week, as well. that was a good time too.. as always.. my family is crazy. I love it. and ANOTHER BROWNS WIN!! here we go Brownies, here we go! woof woof!! oh, and a lot of playing The Sims 3, which Erin got me for Christmas.. 90sGirlProblems.

12/3-12/9 Goals

1:: send out Christmas cards.

2:: laundry, laundry, laundry.

3:: dust my room.

4:: drink 2 tumblers of water everyday.

5:: finalize Christmas present gift ideas.

so I sucked really bad on this 5forfive. oops! I barely did laundry, and I only got a little farther with the Christmas present ideas... although I do already have a lot of my shopping done... as for the rest, I wasnt even close.

12/10-12/16 Goals

first things first why would someone do first things second but tonight I am baking.... I'll let that sink in..... Christmas cookies. yepp. I bought the mix stuff see how much I know about baking I just have to stir it and spread it and cut it and bake it and frost it and eat it. the last time I attempted to bake something Erin was helping me and I ended up just eating the batter and not really doing anything else. and the time before that I burnt it all. and every time I've ever made muffins at work something goes wrong. so tonight should make for a great story. which I will most definitely share with all y'all.

secondly, I bought a wall plug-in thingy from Bath&BodyWorks and oh my goodness it smells Heavenly where has this been my whole life?! right now I have twisted peppermint in it and I never wanted to breathe more in my life. it's that good.

thirdly, I quoted Elf in my head yesterday. and I'm not ashamed. I forget what happened exactly but my response was "son of a nutcracker" and then I laughed. I also watched the movie for the fourth time in the last five days. and I'm not ashamed of that either. it was on 25 Days of Christmas.. I couldn't help myself.

awesome. amazing. wonderful. terrific. cheerful. hilarious. etcetc. I love this movie. if you haven't seen it which I found out the other day that Erin hasn't seen it you must watch it!! seriously. go right now. it's that good. plus it has Will Ferrell, he's hilar. and James Caan. and so much Christmas spirit. 5/5.

one of my favorite Christmas movies. if not my all time favorite. it's hilarious. this is a classic in the Lane family and many of the quotes are said daily.. year round.. in my family. we watch it when we decorate our Christmas tree.. and other days as well.. but you know what I mean. fantastic movie. 6/5 yea, it's that good.

so stop being a cotton-headed-ninny-muggins and watch both of these movies if you haven't already. you will not be disappointed. I promise.

I've recently encountered some pretty awesome songs that I'd like to share with the blog world. if you don't like country music (which how could you not) I suggest you stillgive these songs a chance, although you probs won't like them.. or I think you'll claim to not like them, even if you kinda do.

that's the thing with country. a lot of people say they don't like it, but there's always that one song that they do like. well, to me that means they do actually like country they just don't want to admit it. just saying.
