tomorrow is my birthday (and birthday shout-out to Josh! his birthday was yesterday.) but with it being Thanksgiving and all I'll be extremely busy. football in the morning, stuffing my face with family all afternoon, then black friday shopping with Mo the whole night. I'm so looking forward to it all (and no that isn't sarcastic, I really am looking forward to it).
tomorrow I turn 24. 24! what the hell, when did I become an "adult" and how do I make it stop? 24 just seems old, like I should have my shit together. except um, yea, I don't.
but since it falls on Thanksgiving this year, I figured I'd give y'all 24 things I'm thankful for...
1:: my family. I have the best parents, brothers, sister-in-law, dog niece, grandma, uncles, aunts, and cousins ever. they're all so great (well, except maybe one or two.. but for the most part.)
2:: my friends. they're all always there for me, no matter what time of day or night.
3:: my job. it may just be a part-time coffee shop gig, and I might have to deal with annoying customers occasionally, but at least I have a job. and at least I get to work with some pretty slick people.
4:: our armed forces. because of you guys, past present and future, I can sleep soundly in my bed at night. we all have the freedom to enjoy a Thanksgiving day meal, or go to an Indian restaurant, or do whatever the hell we feel like doing.
5:: snail mail. so I can keep in contact with Josh, somewhat, while he's at boot camp.
6:: social media//texting. because it's a lot easier to keep in contact with friends and family this way than it is sending a letter and hoping for a response.
7:: my blog. (which is really just another thank you to Melissa, since she's the one who put the idea in my head). it's allowed me to meet so many awesome people, and broaden my horizons outside of the little bubble of a town I grew up in, and still call home.
8:: food. without it, I'd die.
9:: my small-ness. I may not be able to reach things way up high without a stool but I can fit my hand inside a pringles container.. so hah!
10:: television//movies. for keeping me entertained on cold, snowy, rainy days.
11:: my house. it may not be a giant mansion, but at least I'm fortunate enough to have a sturdy roof over my head every night.
12:: e-cards. they express my opinions in hilarious ways.
13:: vodka. it helps me cope with the hard times and celebrate the good.
14:: music. country in particular, for keeping me sane. especially on those busy days at work.
15:: my strong immune system. I don't get sick very often, thanks to it.
16:: God. I know I'm far from perfect, but I'm grateful that you forgive me for the sins I make daily.
17:: good spirits. everyone should just be happy all the time, or at least nice.. I love nice people.
18:: tips. the little extra cash allows me to give back. give to charities or take an ornament off a giving tree around the holidays.
19:: gifs. they're just funny.. especially New Girl gifs.
20:: freedom. I think it speaks for itself.
21:: parody videos. they're just damn funny. like the one James Franco and Seth Rogen made for Kanye's stupid video, hilarious.
22:: sports. they've taught me determination, discipline, motivation, teamwork, etc.
23:: my friends and family. they get two because they're that wonderful.
24:: celebrations. such as my birthday celebration, happening this Saturday.
I hope everyone has a very wonderful Thanksgiving! I know mine will be great! :)

Fantasy Football, Week 12.
this week in Fantasy Football...
having my RB, backup RB, and two WRs all on a bye, and my TE injured, it really hurt my team this week. thank God thats over with now. I mean, I almost lost to a 2-9 team that didn't even have a QB! imagine the frustration I felt Sunday night. it wasn't good. I really don't know what to do about Bush or my QBs either.. they're just not cutting it anymore. #FantasyFootballProblems

Bahama Cruise and the Atlantis Resort
growing up my family was able to go on many vacations, this is one of those trips...
the time we got a free cruise to the Bahamas and left our mark on the Atlantis hotel.
we hit up a few spots in Florida before hoping on the smallest cruise ship ever built. before the cruise we were required to sit through a time-share meeting.. and if we did then the cruise was free, or cheap, or whatever. I think free though.
anyways, so the time-share meeting, it was supposed to last 90min. going into the meeting we all knew we were not going to buy a time-share. but we wanted the cruise. each group was paired up with a consultant worker person, our guys name was Cosmo. (and he totally looked like a Cosmo.. blonde curly hair, chubby, shorter than average.)
the meeting is just getting started when Cosmo announces that during the meeting the parents//him will leave in our van to tour around the area. my dad was not happy about that, and no one ever mentioned anything about having to drive around with the consultant. strike one.
shortly after, Cosmo says, "oh, and I've never finished one of these within the 90min time slot" that's when my dad starting getting angry, and to which he set 90min on his watch and declared that we were only staying for the 90min that we were told and then we'd be on our way. this upset Cos, his response? "sir, every time you look at your watch I'm going to start over." strike two.
my dad really started getting angry then. they went back and fourth a bit just getting more and more upset. my dad then went and found a small asain man who was in charge. (when I say small asian man, I mean like my height and probably skinnier than me, I'm 5'2) so anyways, my dad expressed his opinions loudly and they decided it'd just be best if we left. still getting the free cruise. they just wanted us out of there. we were at the meeting for about 20min or so. not very long, and definitely not the full 90min.
okay, now on to part two. when we visited the Atlantis hotel.
how pretty is that place?
anyways, so we decided to walk down the beach to the Atlantis hotel. it didn't look very far away, but it was actually probably a mile or so. which isn't that bad, but when you have 8 kids between 15ish and 5ish, a mile on a hot day in sand seems more like 10 miles.
we finally make it to Atlantis, hot and tired. we immediately go inside to get out of the sun and happened upon the casino area. my dad gave me a quarter and told me to play it on a slot machine (I'm like 13ish). that's when security came over and told us I can't gamble and asked us to leave the casino area.
but that didn't stop us.
instead of leaving we made our way to the pool area. in order to have access to the pool you had to be a guest at the hotel, and wear a wristband they provide for you. we were not guests so we didn't have wristbands. our parents said "just keep your hands under water and they won't be able to tell." so that's what we did. we went swimming in a pool we weren't supposed to be in, after gambling illegally.
the Malone's and my family still reminisce on the Cosmo story, because it was just too damn funny. such a great vacation!
if you've read about my families trip to Nashville and Kings Island you know that we basically do whatever we want whenever we want. so this shouldn't surprise you.

Fantasy Football, Week 11.
this week in Fantasy Football...
RG came through for me finally. Gordon and Lynch also did very well. but Bush didn't give me close to what he typically brings. and JReed left the game with a concussion, which is not good. he's been a solid TE for me. I also decided to see if any other kickers score more than Phil Dawson, I came upon Folk whom seemed like a safe bet. but he got me 8 less points than my boy Dawson. I'm so mad at myself for doubting Dawson, I know he's the best and I should have never benched him.
I'm worried about next week tho. Lynch has a bye, so does my back-up RB. and with JReed potentially not playing, my roster isn't going to be top notch. #FantasyFootballProblems
RG3:: 23.96
Josh Gordon:: 18.50

things my family says (1)
phrases that have been spoken by my family members, that I found hilarious... enjoy.
"I was in World War Nam" - Dad
"Brad, I know what my Christmas costume is" - Brian (Halloween?)
*power goes out* "is this the terrorists?" - Mom
"I just like to dance" - Mom
me: "what do we have light in the fridge?" Brian: "Miller"
Dad: "what's shit-take" me: "it's shiitake, as in, shiitake mushrooms"
Mom: "what's the song they play before sporting events?" Brian: "we are the champions" me: "it's the National Anthem"
"what are all these odors I'm smelling" - Dad (it was perfume)
me: "it's no shave November" Mom: "what's that for? testicular?" Brian: "it's for breast cancer"
"I'm blind, but I see deer" - Dad
and a few from my co-worker cause they're just too funny not to share...
"do you want this greek yogurt I had in my pocket?" - H
H: "twerk for Brad Paisley" me: "this isn't even Brad" H: "you're not even Brad!"
"if today taught me anything, it's that I haven't had whiskey in way too long" - H

Fantasy Football, Week 10.
this week in Fantasy Football...
well, I didn't start RG3 cause the last few weeks he's sucked a big one. this week he goes and racks up 27.64 points.. I can't win with him, I play him he sucks, I don't he's awesome. but I'm stoked that we straight up killed it this week. Cooper, JReed and Lynch- amazing. Dawson and Carolina's Def- solid. Bush, Baldwin, and Williams- decent. overall I'm definitely happy.. even with Luck's crap performance.
Andrew Luck:: 16.82
Terrance Williams:: 8.10
Doug Baldwin:: 7.60
Riley Cooper:: 22.20
Marshawn Lynch:: 22.10
Reggie Bush:: 11.30
Jordan Reed:: 12.20
Phil Dawson:: 12

does that make me a serial killer?
the other day my blog buddy, Steph, called me a serial killer because I don't like gummy bears (it's true. sorry not sorry.) so I decided to do a post about things that make me do this...
gummy bears. worms, rings, any shape. I just don't like the chewy-ness. does that make me a serial killer?
cinnamon/celery/lime/spaghetti sauce/pizza crust/caramel/sausage/pie/most fruit. it's all gross. I don't even like the smell of cinnamon or celery. the fruits consist of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, kiwi, raspberries, cherries, you get the point. as for caramel, I can handle it in a twix or snickers but caramel flavored drinks no thanks. does that make me a serial killer?
surprises. I like knowing whats going on. I have to know everything and have things planned out. does that make me a serial killer?
waiting/unprepared people. I'm very impatient. I hate waiting for people, appointments, food to cook in the microwave, etc. and I hate being behind someone in line who doesn't have their shit together. I'm very quick in checkout lines, I have my money//credit card ready to go. does that make me a serial killer?
beer. I'm just not a fan. I'm a vodka, rum, wine, wine cooler, anything besides beer kinda gal. does that make me a serial killer?
idiots in horror movies. when someone is breathing hard, or crying, or making any sort of noise when the killer is close by, or when someone is just freaking out when they could be sprinting away, is so annoying. I hate it. I understand it's a movie.. but c'mon. does that make me a serial killer?
folding. I can handle putting clothes in the wash and transferring them to the dryer. but after the dryer there's no hope. I hate folding clothes. it's just so time consuming, and as you can probably see I like to get things done fast. does that make me a serial killer?
tv being excessivly loud. someone mentioned this on their blog before and the second I read it I thought "omg, me too!" I just never noticed it before. I'm constantly turning down the volume but my mom always cranks it up and I get irrationally mad. does that make me a serial killer?
what don't you like?

Fantasy Football, Week 9.
this week in Fantasy Football...
notice all the new names on this list. half my starters are on byes and half are injured. my team is falling apart. but somehow I keep coming up with victories (sorry Gwen! actually she would have crushed me had Peyton Manning not been on a bye.) RG3 kills me every week, and I would've liked more from my WRs, especially Gordon.

Sunday Social
I haven't done a Sunday Social in a while, so here we go...
1. what is currently on your wishlist?
new Ohio State shirts, a Brayden Schenn shirt, some new perfume, "Dad is Fat" by Jim Gaffigan and "Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea" by Chelsea Handler. (it's my birth month so I have ideas brewing.)
2. share a new app you've recently discovered.
I don't have any apps that are out of the ordinary. but I love having Netflix on my phone.
3. what is a new fall tv show you added to your dvr?
Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Goldbergs. and New Girl, it's not a new show but it's new to me.
4. share your social media links, which is your favorite and why?
twitter instagram bloglovin' pinterest
I love twitter the most.
5. what tv show, movie, or song could you watch/listen to over and over again?
I have seen The Proposal, Remember the Titans, Sandlot, Christmas Vacation, and Elf way too many times. I watch them every single time they play on tv. every time. (I watched Remember the Titans two nights in a row because it was on tv. and I watched Elf 4 times in 5 days last year because it was on tv.)
Happy Sunday! Go Browns!

Sports Update
it's been a while since I talked about sports on here (besides my weekly fantasy football updates) so here's a quick update...
my teams aren't doing half bad, for Cleveland that is..
the Indians finished their season losing in the wildcard game. would I have liked to make it beyond that, maybe even to the world series? yes. but this is my Tribe we're talking about, at least they made it to the wildcard spot. good job boys! can't wait to see what next year brings.
my Brownies made some very questionable decisions lately (trading Richardson, getting rid of Dawson and Cribbs, thinking about trading Gordon) and I honestly did not think we were going to win a single game as a result but we've won three games. and probably could have had at least one more victory, if not two, if Hoyer hadn't gotten hurt. (sidenote: I hate Brandon Weeden. so much.) 3-5. far from great, but I'll take it. here we go Brownies, here we go! woof woof!!
my Buckeyes are doing tremendous. not that that's surprising, I mean, they're THE Ohio State Buckeyes. of course they're unstoppable. with eight victories already completed, they're on their way to another undefeated season and a bowl game victory (national championship victory? quite possibly). Let's Go Bucks!
unfortunately, the Flyers are not doing so hot. 3-8.. c'mon boys y'all can do better than that! (I don't have much to say here tho because Flyers games are hardly ever aired here in Ohio, so I can't critique any of the players. which bums me out).
