last week I talked about how I was Angelica Pickles in 2011. last year I was Flo from Progressive. and well, you'll have to wait until Monday to find out what I am being this year. but I can share that I will be making both pudding shots and jello shots for the party. a few chocolate pudding, a few vanilla pudding, and of course, orange jello. I just couldn't decide, so I went with all three.
anyways, I figured today I'd talk about my two all-time favorite things to do during the month of October. and those two things are:: watch horror movies, and go to haunted houses.
every year Randy, Brian, and I go to a haunted house. in years past we've trekked out to Ghost Lake, but this year we decided to check out Fear Forrest.. it had a haunted house, a haunted hayride, a haunted pathway through the woods, and a haunted cornfield path. it was alright, I'll admit I jumped a lot. I enjoyed the hayride, because Randy and I were seated in the back so people often tried to scare us from behind, and there was this giant clown costume that looked so cool. but the scariest//best part of the night was encountering Michael Myers in the cornfield. (anyone who knows me knows that Michael is the only serial killer who really makes me feel fear.)
which brings me to watching horror movies. I love horror movies, and I'm pretty damn good at calling whats going to happen when it's going to happen. I like testing myself to see if I'm right.. and I absolutely love when I'm wrong. I love when movies (especially horror) are not what I expected.
my all-time favorite Halloween movie... John Carpenter's Halloween.
I just love Michael Myers. yes, he scares the living hell out of me, but I love him. I love the movie, I love the little characteristics that makes Michael different from other serial killers. in fact, the theme song is my ringtone, and used to be my alarm. I've even posted about it before.
8 more days til Halloween Halloween Halloween, 8 more days til Halloween, Silver Shamrock! (if you know what that's from, you get bonus points.)
and only 3 days until the party!!
You were Angelica and Flo?! So creative and awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLove that movie!!! Hocus Pocus is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI can't do haunted houses, I can't do scary movies... but what I can do is JELLO SHOTS!
ReplyDeleteAngelica and Flo are awesome costumes! I can't wait to see what you'll be this year. And I must say I also love all things Halloween including scary movies and haunted houses. I think it stems from being a Halloween baby (almost). Actually, my bday is 2 days before Halloween, which equals lots of costume parties!
