First is the Worst, Second is the Best.

Since my first post was pretty lame. I'm doing another, and I'm stealing elevensixtyblog.com 's idea of my ten favorite things so ya'll have a better idea of who I am. yes, I just said ya'll.

1. Family<3
this is my family in a nutshell. You have my dad (all the way on the left) not knowing whats happening, and my mom trying to explain that a picture is being taken. Then you have my little brother, Brian, down in front being the crazy fun guy that he is. While myself, and my future sister-in-law, Melissa, act, well, how we normally do in picture. And then there's my older brother, Randy, who is crazy fun too, but holds us all together with a bit of businessman-like normalcy. They're the best there is, and I wouldn't change a thing about any of them. We're the Lane family, and if you push us off a cliff.. we're coming back.

2. My Friends.
Malone, Olivia, and Carrie (from left to right). Three of my best friends that I've known basically my entire life. Malone is always, always, there for me when I need to talk to someone -whether its three in the morning, or two in the afternoon, she's there. Then you have Olivia, the cool, calm, and collected one, always there to make you laugh or escape reality for a bit. And lastly, Carrie, the loud one of the group. She'll sing and dance until all you can do is sing and dace right with her. No matter what life has in store for us, or where the path takes us, the four of us will never lose touch... ever.

Next, we have Ashley and Erin (Ashley in the middle and Erin on the right.) Two more of my best friends. These two I haven't known as long as the three girls above, but I'm just as close with them. Ashley I met freshman year of high school and we've been bestiesss ever since. She was also my roommate sophomore year of college, and we're DP's for life. People that don't know her think she's shy, but she's one of the craziest girls I know, and I love it. Then you have Erin, who is one of the nicest girls I've ever known. Sure, if you piss her off she'll kick your ass, but if you need anything, she'll be there for you, and for that I am grateful.

3. My Grandma Lane

My Grandma Lane is the kindest, craziest, coolest, most deserving lady in the world. She's the bestest grandma, and I love her sooo much. The day trips, and memories I've made with her over the years will never be forgotten and I look forward to the memories we haven't made yet. She tells the best stories, laughs all the time, and is one of the strongest people I know. I look up to her, and admire her dearly. She's simply, the best. Life is good <3

4. Volleyball.
I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and played through high school. Last year, I coached Chardon Middle School 8th graders in volleyball and it was easily one of the best experiences of my life. The girls were wonderful, the Athletic Director Mrs. Taylor was phenomenal, and the 7th grade coach, Isham, was so welcoming, I couldn't have asked for a better first year, and that's not even including the fact that we went undefeated 16-0. The icing on the cake.

5. Country music, and bonfires.
Some of the best nights, and memories have been made right in my backyard. Relaxing by the fire, eating s'mores, and drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade. Arguably the best way to spend a summer night.

6. Buckeyes, Indians, and Browns
I'm from Ohio, what did you expect?! I love my Buckeyes, and I don't even attend The Ohio State University, although my older brother did. My Brownies, yes, they disappoint me every Sunday. Yes, I wonder myself why I'm still a fan. But, how can I not be? They may not win every game, okay they don't, but boy do they try. My Tribe, my boys, I'll always be a Chief Wahoo fan. Arguably another best way to spend a summer night, in Jacobs Field.

7. My friends at Beans Coffee Shop

The people I've become friends with at good ole Beans Coffee Shop have made 'working' more of a hobby. It doesn't really feel like work. Everyone is so great there, and I've actually become really close friends with a few of my co-workers. They're great people. If you live near Chardon, Ohio, stop in for some delicious coffee -Beans Coffee Shop, located on the historic Chardon Square, we're not just the same old grind.

8. Bootsie and Penny
Boots is my cat, and although shes kind of gross and really matted up, I love her. She'll annoy the hell out of you and sit on anything you're working on, or beg for food worse than a dog, but its those things that make her unique. She always makes us laugh. And my Penny Lane, Penny was my dog. She passed away in 2007, just after her 10th birthday. I dont care what anyone says, Penny was THE best dog in this entire world. You may think your dog is better, but I'm sorry to tell you that it was in fact my puppy. Unless you're Malone, then I'd accept Shannon or Reilly being in the "best dog contest" with my pooch, because they're great too.

9. Christmas!
My favorite holiday ever. The one day when everyone stops worrying about whatever problems they think they're having and just enjoys the day. Well, pretty much everyone at least. The one day, besides birthdays, when you can make someone smile. Picking out that perfect gift, seeing the sheer look of glee on their faces as they open it, the satisfaction that you made someone happy. Picking out and decorating the tree, wrapping the presents, the stockings, the jolly music, the beautiful white snow, and family.

10. Nike and Hot Sauce
I don't think my friends would believe I wrote "10 of my favorite things" that didnt include Nike or Hot Sauce, so I'll finish the list off with them. Nike, anything Nike, I love it. Nike Shox, Nike shirts, shorts, socks, whatever it is, I'll most likely love it. And hot sauce, well, I put it on anything that needs a little kick. Mac&Cheese, pizza, noodles, popcorn, hamburgers.. you name it. It's pure deliciousness.

Well, there ya have it. 10 of my favorite things ever. not really in any particular order, although I would rank my family and friends as numbers 1 and 2. Oh, and I was listening to country music this whole time. Hope you enjoyed it! I'll see ya when I see ya.

  1. This is so darn sweet! The best part is Boots being "kind of gross and really matted up". Hahaha!
