"hereos are remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid"

^ name that movie... The Sandlot.

Dear Ortho, I know I told you yesterday when I was leaving that I appreciate everything you've done. but I lied. because of you I had to have braces for 8.5 years and jaw surgery and other painful things. the truth is, I couldn't be more ecstatic to not ever have to go back there.. see ya never!!

Dear Dove Dry Shampoo, you are my new best friend. where have you been all my life?! I love you oh so much. and I think we're going to be great friends for the rest of my life. you da bomb!

Dear Rain, go away. I know my bff (Luke Bryan) says that 'rain is a good thing' but right now I just want sunshine. you better not even think of being around for the Tribe game next Thursday. I mean it!

Dear Luke Bryan, congrats on Entertainer of the Year! I voted for you.. just so ya know. your acceptance speech only made me like you more. you're such a nice guy, thanks for that.. don't ever change! and to both you and Blake Shelton, please please please host again. you guys are hilarious together!

Dear Duck Dynasty Crew, thanks for being so entertaining. it makes me happy happy happy.

Dear The Office, why must you end? why can't you last forever? I wish this wasn't the final season. it's so funny, I'm certainly going to miss it.

Dear Hulu, why does Hulu Plus exist? I'm cheap and I'm broke. I refuse to pay for you. but of course the one show I want to use you for is only available with Hulu Plus. I hate you for this. thank God for Netflix//local library, so I can catch up on Psych.

Safe Haven

goodreads:: When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family. But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her . . . a past that set her on a fearful, shattering journey across the country, to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo’s empathic and stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true safe haven.

thoughts:: Overall a good book. in this case, I liked the movie more though.. might have had something to do with Josh Duhamel. but still a good book. different from the typical Nicholas Sparks' books, in my opinion.

The BIG Day!

today is a marvelous day. today, at one o'clock eastern standard time, I'll be getting my braces off!!!!

I thought about doing a "high five for friday" but I realized all it would be about is getting my braces off. so instead of boring y'all with that, I'll give you a Friday's Letters...

Dear Braces, we've had a long eight years together but it's time to say good-bye.. finally. thanks for all your hard work. but let's be honest, I never liked you. laterrrr suckerrrs!

Dear Ortho, I may not have enjoyed my braces, or the amount of time that I had them, but what I really hate and despise and cannot stand, is you. I'm so glad to finally be outta that hell hole. laterrrr suckerrr!! to the ortho helper ladies, thank you for everything. you guys helped me keep my sanity over the years. I really appreciate everything you've done for me.

Dear School, can't break be a little longer? I don't want to start classes on Monday. give us another month. please.

Dear Flu Virus, if you come near me I will cut you. step off.

Dear Brownies, let's do a little better next season. okay? okay.

Dear Buckeyes, congratulations! you were the only undefeated team this season. 12-0. not that it's surprising, you guys rock. keep up the good work Mr. Meyer!

Dear Family & Friends, thank you for all your support over these past eight years, through the surgerys and countless ortho visits and listening to me complain about how much I dislike that place. love you all, and I can't wait to celebrate tomorrow! :)

"America, Jesus, Freedom"

^ name that movie... The Campaign

1. Have you set any goals/resolutions for 2013?
not exactly, I don't see why it has to be a new year to make changes.. just do it whenever you want.

2. Have you made any travel/vacation plans for 2013?
kinda. my family is talking about going to Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH. it's this awesome amusement park, we used to go every other year but as we got older it didn't fit with our schedules. and there's usually a Niagara Falls trip every year. and Las Vegas 2014 is in the works.

3. What room is never cleaned in your house?
my mom keeps our house pretty neat most the time. but my room and Brian's room is basically always a mess. maybe that will be my goal for 2013, keep my room cleaner.

4. What food must be in your house at all times?
chicken nuggets. and milk. and hot sauce. and ketchup. we usually always have snack foods too.

5. Are you a hugger or more of a hands off person?
that depends. if I don't see you that often and I'm close with you I'll hug you no problem, but if I see you all the time then maybe once in a while I'll give you a hug otherwise we can pass on that.

Dear 2012, thanks for a great run. it 'twas fun. some great memories were made, but it's time to move on. good bye.

Dear 2013, 2012 was good to me so I have some high expectations for you. don't let me down. please. I plan on making many more memories, sharing lots of laughs, and drinking lots of wine with my friends.

Dear Randy & Melissa, thanks for a great NYE. I had a blast playing all those games with everyone. "take your gulps seriously" ;; "citizens arrest you cheater" ;; "oink oink mother fucker"

Dear Al, thanks for the awesome Christmas present. she got me a camo winter hat!

Dear Ashley, I'm so happy you're back in Ohio. Hawaii was just too far away for you to be.

Dear Mom & Dad, thanks for all the amazing Christmas presents, you guys are the best ever.

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit"

^ name that book.... (That Boy by Jillian Dodd).

Dear 7th grade volleyballers, I truly had a phenom time with you all, and will miss all your craziness in the off-season. Be good in school, do all your homework, and keep working hard! You guys are great, thanks so much for a fantastic year!

Dear AMC Fear Fest, I love you. I love all the horror movies you've been playing. I love that this week is the Halloween series on prime time. I look forward to Fear Fest every Fall. Thanks for never disappointing.

Dear 13 Nights of Halloween, similar to what I said to Fear Fest, thanks for all the awesome movies. I always love 13Nights. Although I could go without the Harry Potter movies, to be honest. Other than that good picks.

Dear blogs I follow, I feel like I really know you guys in real life. Like I've been friends with you for a while now even though I know none of you in real life (minus Melissa). Thanks for being great!

Dear Randy, I hope you had a great birthday! Bahama Breeze was delish as always. Mojito me!

Dear weather, You were so nice yesterday and Wednesday, why must you suck for the rest of October? Especially on Halloween. Let the trick-or-treaters have a fun.

1. Who wakes up in the morning with the kids, you or hubby?
Well, I don't have kids nor do I have a hubby. I barely wake myself up.

2. Do you watch the World Series even if your team isn't in it?
Yea, kinda. I'm not going to freak out if I miss a game, but if it's on and nothing else is I'll watch it. Dad and I watched game 1 the other night.. or at least most of it.

3. What is the best compliment you have received?
All of them are the best! I welcome any and all compliments. I got a bunch at Randy/Melissa's wedding that was nice, and a bunch more for coaching this season.

4. Do/did you dress up to take your kids trick-or-treating?
No kids here, but I probably wouldn't. If I did I'd probably just be something easy every year. But as a kid I always dressed up, and still do today. I don't go trick-or-treating anymore but I do scare the trick-or-treaters.

5. Do you have a favorite Bible verse? What is it and why?
Unfortunately I do not have a favorite. Sorry.

1:: The volleyball banquet went really well. I'm sad to say that marks the end of the season, but I had an absolute blast (as I've said 4579843 times before).
2:: Bahama Breeze for dinner last night. and lunch today. YUM! nice pick bro.
3:: Today I'm making pudding/jello shots, I'm not exactly sure if I want to make both or just one, but lets be honest, I'll probs end up making both.
4:: Halloween. primetime. Fear Fest. need I say more?
5:: I'm excited for the annual Halloween party tomorrow! My costume is all ready to go, I just have to make it through a long day of work first.

1.  My favorite feeling in all the world is   helping someone in need, making others happy.
2.  My favorite smell is  peanut butter .
3.  My favorite taste is  I guess sweets, I love sweets.
4. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was Luke Bryan and Zak Efron. But on a more serious note, I'm going to go with Niagara Falls, or the view from a hot air balloon.
5. The best sound ever is  laughter.
6. A smell that reminds me of my childhood is  the sweet scent of a warm summer day.
7.  My favorite of all the senses is  sight.

Happy Friday!!

"you're killing me, Smalls"

Dear Cold:: Go away, I've over you. Done. Get out. I'm tired of taking meds everyday and I'm really tired of blowing//wiping my nose. So annoying!

Dear Volleyball Team:: You guys played excellent yesterday. Although we still came out with a loss, I'm proud of all of you for not giving up with the tough competition. Best game of the season thus far.

Dear Buckeyes:: Let's get another victory tomorrow! Beat UAB!

Dear Erin:: Thanks for the "I Believe In..." link-up, it was fun reading everyone's beliefs and thinking of my own. Great idea!

Dear Followers:: I love reading your comments, thanks for following my average, sometimes crazy, life.

1) What is one grammar issue you cannot let go without correction?
Spelling, or the infamous "their, there, they're, you, you're"

2) What is your favorite thing about Fall?
The cooler temps, the leaves changing color, football, and Halloween.

3) What is your favorite dish to take to a potluck?
Ask my mom. We take Stouffers mac&cheese a lot.

4) When do you start Christmas shopping?
November I'll start to brainstorm, and Black Friday it begins. But, if I see something before November I'll either make a mental note about the item or just buy it then and there.

5) Did you move homes a lot growing up?
I'd say it was average. My current home is the 5th house I have lived in. We moved a lot in the first 8 years of my life, but always stayed in the same general area.

1.  Something I am very proud of is     my success as a volleyball coach, and the success of the girls on my team .

2.  My favorite thing about myself is  I guess my 'realness' I'm always myself, I never act differently to try and impress anyone, I'm just me .

3.  My favorite color for fall is   red&black, scarlet&gray, brown&orange. Football colors of course!

4. Something I've been learning lately is    success doesn't mean winning every game, it means having fun, and enjoying what you're doing.

5. A book I am reading now/have read recently is  I read 'Stalk Me' by Jillian Dodd and it was phenomenal. Currently I'm reading 'Something Borrowed' by Emily Giffin.

6. My favorite Pandora Station is  "Eric Church Radio" or my "Old School" station, that plays 90s pop songs. It just depends on what mood I'm in.

7.  This weekend I will   be trying to destroy this cold that I've had for the past week, as well as working, and doing homework. And watching football, but thats a given.

"It's Friday night"

That's right ladies and gentlemen, school is back and it's Friday... you know what that means? Friday Night Lights. Go Hilltoppers beat West Geauga!!

1. If you could have been (could be) any profession you wanted (brains and $$$ no problem) what would it be?
FBI Agent.. or like a Criminal Minds person.

2. How often do you clean out your car?

It never really gets dirty, at least on the inside. Whenever I need to clean it out I do.

3. Do you wish there was such a thing as fashion police or are you deeply relieved?

I'm not a high fashion person, but I also don't wear weird clothes. I'm indifferent about this.

4. What's your go to food/drink/activity when stressed?

country music.

5. If you had twins, what would you name them?

whatever names I felt like naming them.. I wouldn't necessarily do similar names. sorry to disappoint.

1. Volleyball is going amazingly so far, and games haven't even started yet!

2. I finally unpacked from Vegas. I know, I'm a slacker/procrastinator.

3. This past weekend was awesome. I seriously had a great time at my cousins wedding reception.

4. Three weeks, and one day, until Randy & Melissa's wedding!!!!

and last but not least

5. Here's to a relaxing night in tonight, watching Ghost Adventures. And doing a heart walk in the morning.

Dear Volleyball Girls, I can already tell this is going to be a great season. And by great I mean fun, and probably also successful. Thanks for being the good group that you are, and please stay that way.

Dear Coach Isham, Thanks for all you do. Having a coach for the 8th graders that I get along with and have fun with makes my life so much easier. Thanks for the dinners at Panini's and for always knowing what to do when something crazy happens.

Dear Ghost Adventures, Thank you for always entertaining me on Friday nights.

Dear Erin, Thank you for coming with me to do a ghost hunting class. I cannot wait! (for the record I don't actually believe in ghosts.)

Dear Flies, Go away! Stop coming into my house, we don't want you here.

Dear Sleep, Sorry I've neglected you, I promise to sleep more in the coming week.

1.  My favorite thing to do on Friday is    chill by a bonfire (in the summer/fall), watch Ghost Adventures, or watch a good move with some hot chocolate (in the winter).
2.   This Friday I am   having dinner at Panini's, then I have a date with my couch to watch Ghost Adventures and/or a movie, and then going to bed early. I'm beat.
3.  The best thing about a weekend is   sleeping in. late nights. bonfires, parties, drinking. etc.

4. Now that summer is almost over, I'm feeling     exhausted, yet, energized. If that makes any sense.

5. The best thing I did this summer was  go to Las Vegas, and Niagara Falls, and country concerts. I had a great summer.

6. The thing I'm looking forward to about fall is  football. bonfires. hoodies. Halloween. jeans. Northface jackets.

7.  If I had to be stuck in one season for the rest of my life, I would choose  Fall, definitely. Not too hot, not too cold. It's perfect, and the leaves changing colors is so pretty.

Friday's Letters

Dear Friday, Thank you for being here now. But why did it take you so long? Next time please go faster. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Dear Chardon 7th Grade Volleyball Girls, Congrats on making the team! Let's make this season a memorable one, fun and successful! Go Toppers!

Dear Summer, Can you please just last a little bit longer? Just a little?

Dear Beans Customers, Stop being so annoying. When I have to work, and coach, and do 85 other things that day I don't want to deal with you or your nonsense.

Dear Followers, Thanks for following! It's weird to think people are actually semi-interested in my below average, yet hectic, life.

Dear Randy and Melissa, It's almost the big day!!!! yahoo!

Dear Bank Account, Can't you just expand yourself without me having to work? It's 2012, there's got to be way.. is there an App for that?

Dear Chardon Volleyball Alumni, It was great seeing those of you who came the other day, and playing volleyball.

Dear Wrist, Please stop killing me every time I scoop ice cream. It makes it that much harder for me to get the stupid ice cream out of the container when I can't even move my hand. And, Arthritis, I'm only 22 years old -go find someone else to infest first, you can come back when I'm 80 if you really have to, but 22? Give me a break!

Happy Friday!! Today I go for my 7 week post-op appointment. Yepp, it's been 7 weeks already! Looking back now the time really flew by, although at the time it didn't feel like it. I'm just grateful to have healed so nicely, and back to eating foods! yahoo!! :)

Anyways, I'm linking up for my very first Friday's Letters.

Dear Sun, I'm enjoying the warmth but can you cool it down some already?! I don't need this 100 degree weather.. a breezy 74 will work for me. Thanks.

Dear Jaw, Thank you for healing nicely, and for finally being straight and in place. Let's keep the healing process going strong!

Dear Creator of Magic Mike, Thank you. ;)

Dear Cleveland Indians, Congrats on the win last night boys. Let's keep this going, and get back into 1st place in the AL Central. Go Tribe!

Dear Cleveland Browns, Can this be our year... please? And by "can this be our year" I mean can we just have a winning season, .500, something. anything. please? Here we go Brownies, here we go! woof woof!

Dear Friends, Erin- Thanks for encouraging me.. oh and thanks for that ice cream -yumm! ;; Malone- Thanks for being the best friend ever, and always being there for me. ;; Melissa- Thanks for always making me crack-up and being the best sister in the world. ;; Mo- Thanks for listening to everything I've ever told you and giving me advice. Even if you try to make my life awkward, I still appreciate everything you do for me. ;; Ashley- Come back to OHIO! Seriously. But congrats on being a McCallister now.

Dear Cleveland Clinic, Why must you be soo far away from my house? I'm getting tired of driving and hour for a 15minute appointment.

Dear Country Music, Thanks for always relating to my life. It makes everything easier... the sad times, the happy times, the amazing times.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
