Sunday Social

1. What do you value most in life?
My family, my friends, my freedom, and the grace of God.

2. What do you think is the greatest invention of your lifetime and why?
The internet, the iPod/iPhone/smartphone. Because it changed the way we communicate, allowing us to find information quickly and easily.

3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?
Being a good person. Good karma will give you a good life in return. Be nice to others, be respectful of others, give/help those in need. You'll feel better about yourself in return, it will give you joy knowing you're a good person.

4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you're gone?
Being a good person, friend, sister, daughter, and coach. And hopefully wife, mother, aunt, etc. I would like people to remember me as someone who enjoyed life, and always had a good time. Life is good!

5. What accomplish in life are you most proud of?
Probably being offered a Middle School volleyball coaching job. Aside from the basics of graduating high school, and getting accepted into Kent State University, it's coaching volleyball. My first year as a coach we went undefeated 16-0 and 1st place in the tournament. Second year coaching we had a winning record of 9-7 with a 4th place finish in the tournament.

6. If a movie was made about your life who would you want to play you?
Linsdey Lohan! hah just kidding. It depends.. cause I love Jen Aniston and Sandra Bullock but they're a little old to play a 22 year old. So I guess I'd say Emma Stone or Dakota Fanning cause I think they're awesome too and they're young enough to play me.

Happy Sunday!!
10 more days till Halloween!

Sunday Social - Fall Edition

It's no secret that I love the Fall and everything that comes with it. I love Halloween, and scary movies, and cool weather, and pumpkins/ghosts/ghouls/goblins, etc etc. Basically everything except pumpkin flavored things. I just don't like pumpkin. Sorry to disappoint every person reading this right now, but that does in fact mean that I do not like pumpkin spice lattes. I admit it and I am ashamed. But it's the truth.
Don't fret though! I do have exciting news to rebound from my lack of pumpkin taste-buds. I'm super stoked to go on the Willoughby Ghost Walk Tour! October 13th (dun dun dun) my family and the Lears will be attending this walk and I'm pumped!!
Also, I decided on my Halloween costume. I just need to get it all together now. But, I can't tell you yet because then I'd have to kill ya. It's nothing that special, I'm sure many people have been this before, but I haven't.

And, I'm stealing this idea from fellow bloggers.

The Amazing Race
Browns Football

Monday::
Dancing with the Stars (not religiously though)
The Inbetweeners

Tuesday::

October is going to be a great month, I can feel it!

Sunday Social

All about being a child today! I loved my childhood. I had great friends that I'm still friends with, and have tons of memories with. As well as lots of memories and traditions with my family. We've had some great times, that's for sure.

1) What do you miss most about being  a kid?
I guess not having any responsibility. Not having to worry about anything besides picking teams for capture the flag and where to hide for kick the can.

2) Did you have a nickname growing up?
Cassaroll, Cassaroo, Cass. Or the occasional 'Ginny Susan' which is a whole different story. Not too many people call me Cassaroll or Cassaroo anymore. But Cass is pretty much a staple with the people I'm close with.
"I can do it myself" -what the shirt says. Describes me perfectly.

3) What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
       The tire swing!
Brian and I

4) What did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher. I think every girl wanted to be a teacher. Danielle and I would play teacher/student like every day of our lives.
I'd be a good role model, don't ya think? (1st birthday)

 5) What was your favorite toy?
I don't remember. Probably barbie dolls, or these little dog things I had.
Randy and I. (Me 1.5 ;; Randy 3.5 years old)

6) What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
I'm not sure. I know the first time playing T-ball I made my mom run the bases with me because I was too shy. Or this infamous picture of me...

Sunday Social

Here we go Brownies, here we go! woof woof! :)

1. What is the name of your blog and how did you come up with it??
History in the Making. When I was setting up my blog I wanted a fun name, but also something that fit. I thought doing a song lyric would be fun, and I knew I could eventually come up with something that would work. I browsed my country songs on my iPod and found History in the Making by Darius Rucker, and knew immediately that was the title I wanted.

2. What do you love the most about blogging??
I love that I can look back and remember everything I've done, someday that's going to come in handy. I also love the kindness of others, and the comments I get.

3. What are your 2 favorite posts you've written?
Oh wow, I guess:: Las Vegas  and  First is the Worst, Second is the Best
I picked my Las Vegas post because I had the time of my life on that vacation. And, I picked my second post ever written because it was my first real post that got History in the Making started.

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
Do it because you want to, not because you feel that you have to. Don't feel obligated to post everyday. If you miss a day, who cares?

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
I've expanded my belief on how important it is to stay true to yourself.

6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to be following that you love.
Eleven Sixty (even if she's on a mini hiatus)
Life & Everything Else In Between
     Bourbon and Glitter
     Two Smuppies

Sunday Social

This is a brand new link-up over at A Complete Waste of Makeup -check it out!

The idea is to answer six questions so followers, and new comers, can learn a little bit more about the person behind the blog posts.

Here we go::

How did you come up with your blog name?
I thought it would be cool to use a song lyric, and because Country music is my favorite genre, I started browsing my iPod for songs with a lyric that would work. That's when I came across Darius Rucker's "History in the Making". I knew instantly that was the one, since my blog is about my life and making history.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Probably being able to document the exciting things that happen in my life. I know one day it will be great to look back on this blog and remember all those great memories.

What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now cant live without?
Blogging itself. Melissa got me into blogging and now I'm addicted, I love it!

Facebook or Twitter? and why?
Twitter is great and all, but I gotta go with Facebook. You can interact with your friends/family, whereas Twitter all you can do to "interact" is retweet or reply. I mean, you can send a direct message, but has anyone ever actually used that?

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?
If a celebrity wants to read my blog, I'm not going to be picky about it. I'd be honored, and frankly, a little worried, a celeb interested in my small town life? Don't think that's going to happen. But, just to be a good sport and answer the question, I'll go with... Emma Stone. She's been my favorite actress since I saw "Easy A" and she gave probably the best acceptance speech ever on the MTV Movie Awards.

What is something you want people to know about your blog?
Just that this is me. This is me 100%, I'm not holding back anything.. I tell it like it is, and I'm not afraid to be me. So, what you see on my blog is simply, me.

life is good
