the hurricanes losing hurt a bit. my Buckeyes grabbed another W. Indiana completely killed me. and the wichita//LaSal game didn't affect me.

I need Kansas to lose before the final two to stay tied with my uncle. anytime they want to lose is fine by me.

I am so bummed out. 

for the past two seasons I was blessed with the opportunity to coach middle school volleyball. unfortunately, I will not be able to do so this coming season. I was just informed that a staff member wants the job, and their contracts state that staff members get first pick, so since I'm not a staff member I can even fight for the job.

I absolutely love coaching. I love the sport of volleyball. I loved playing with the girls and teaching them the sport I love. I loved learning about the girls and hearing their crazy stories. I loved the early mornings and late nights. I loved the victories and even the loses. I loved the practices. I loved the bus rides. I was meant to be a coach, I love everything about it.

I'm trying to look on the bright side, and be thankful that I even had the opportunity to coach for two seasons. but I'm sure going to miss every second of it. hopefully in the future I'll get the chance again. the Athletic Director for the school is so nice, she called me and explained that her hands are tied, that she's grateful for everything I've done for the program, and wants to stay in contact. I definitely plan on staying in contact with her and the other coach. they were both so kind to me, and hopefully I'll get the chance to work with them again one day.

I will definitely go to some of the games and support the teams. especially my girls who'll be moving up to the 8th grade team.

I wish the program the best of luck.

for now, it's movie time tommy. movies are my go-to "I'm depressed" cure.

...I posted three times yesterday even if they were short.

Weekend Update - Momma's Birthday

(Mom's birthday isn't until tomorrow, but we celebrated Saturday)

Friday::
worked. then home to catch some NCAA games before going to the St Gabes fish fry. which was really delicious. a quick stop at Lowes and Dicks, and back home to watch the Buckeyes get a victory over Iona. can you tell I like sports yet?


Saturday::
worked. then to Cheesecake Factory! can you say yum? YUM. Melissa and I both got the farfalle with chicken and roasted garlic.. it was soooo mothereffin good. oh, and I got a mojito. I always forget about mojitos, and I wish I didn't cause they're damn good. I tried the passionfruit mojito, I don't think I need to describe how tasty that was. but just in case... IT WAS DAMN DELICIOSO! after dinner we went back to Randy and Melissa's to meet their new pup, Lois. she's so precious. such a fun pup. she's still very timid though, but it didn't take too long before she was at least relaxed around us. she's so cute... look at her...

yes, she only has one eye. but it adds character.

and can I just say, for a pup with only one eye it really doesn't affect her. she runs//catches//plays fetch and tug-o-war//everything.. she acts very normal. anyways, we watched more NCCA games, stupid Gonzaga messing up my bracket. and enjoyed the cheesecake we took home.. I got the chocolate chip cookie-dough kind, yummy in my tummy. be jealous.

Sunday::
went to Panini's with my aunt/uncle the same uncle I have the bracket bet with to watch the Bucks game. Aaron Craft got real crafty with that game-winning three-pointer. hellllz yeaa! GO BUCKEYES!!

I took a hit with Gonza losing. I'm hoping Indy keeps pulling through, but they scared me yesterday. I'm pissed at Georgetown and Wisconsin not to mention Gonzaga again. and I love that I took Oregon the first round, just wish I would've known they'd rock it out like they did, twice. my uncle and I are tied currently.. and it's going to all come down to how Indiana and Kansas do last year my victory was because Kansas won, this year I need Kansas to lose.. ironic?

I had a hard time deciding the outcome of a few different tournament games, and will be a complete wreck when they're being played.. granted the teams make it to that point.

I can't believe...

I can't believe... that St Patrick's Day is already over, and Easter is just around the corner.

I can't believe... how hard it is to decide on teams this year for my bracket.

I can't believe... this is the last season of The Office.

I can't believe... we got rid of Cribbs and Dawson. prepare for rant Dawson was the only player who I could count on to actually score points. this season is going to be embarrassing, two of our best players -Dawson arguably the best- are gone. traded them like they're 3rd string. I don't understand, and I really can't believe it.

I can't believe... it's the first day of spring and we're getting Lake Effect snow.

I can't believe... how much more expensive drinks are in Cleveland compared to Downtown Willoughby.

I didn't post yesterday, cause well... let's be honest... I drank a shit ton of booze Saturday night and Sunday. and was extremely tired, that I didn't even bother to write up a post. so here's my weekend update.


Friday::
worked. then took it easy. I watched the Philly Flyers game which they won, and painted my nails green.

Saturday::
worked. quick stop at home before heading over to Randy&Melissa's to pre-game. we went to Downtown Willoughby with a bunch of their buddies, and Ashley came out too, and we celebrated St Paddy's Day Eve. it was such a fun night.  hilarious, and awesome. oh, and I made a version of the Shamrock Shake, but I called it the Slainte Shake. Slainte (pronounced like slawn-cha) means cheers.

Sunday::
got up and ready to go to CLE for the parade. we made it down there about 2ish, and drank away the day. I saw like 24 seconds of the parade. it was fun, but Saturday night takes the cake.

here are a few of my favorite things...


listening to country music on a warm summer night next to a bonfire. there's just something about relaxing next to a fire with the graceful sound of country music.. sipping on a chilled Mikes Hard Lemonade.

athletic shorts. they're just so damn comfy.. I love 'em.

laughing. I love laughing. I love making people laugh. I love people who make me laugh. it can cure anything, it instantly makes me feel better.

sporting events. Ohio State games, Indians games, Monsters games, Browns games, Cavs games, Flyers games, I love cheering on all my boys.

clean sheets on a made bed. there is not much better than climbing into bed with freshly clean sheets, and the bed all made-up nicely. it's a fantastic feeling. one of the best ever, if I do say so myself.

vodka and lemonade//rum and coke//mikes hard lemonade. definitely my go to bevs.. nothing cures a bad day, or a good day for that matter, better than Miss Three Olives or Mr Captain Morgan.

my family//friends. but that's a given.

Christmas//St Patrick's Day//Halloween. I love all holidays, but these three are extra special. Christmas - I love the spirit. St Paddy's - I'm Irish. Halloween - I love horror movies.

spicy food. I don't think anyone would believe I made a list of my favorite things without including something about spicy food. the hotter the better. I put hot sauce and//or cayenne pepper on almost everything.

movies. any kind really, but mainly... comedy, horror//thriller, romantic comedies, and Disney movies.
