"before we reach for hate, always, always, we remember the Titans"

it's THURSDAY! almost Friday, almost turkey bowl time, almost Thanksgiving, almost Black Friday, almost my birthday, almost #LaneVisitsOU2012, almost 25 Days of Christmas, almost Christmas!!!! I love the holidays. On another note, has this week gone super extremely slow for anyone else?

Remember The Titans

here's what Netflix says::
The year is 1971, and the people of Alexandria, Va., are none too pleased when African American Herman Boone is given the nod to head a newly integrated football team. As the season progresses, however, their contentious attitudes begin to change.

here's what IMDb says::
Suburban Virginia schools have been segregated for generations, in sight of the Washington Monument over the river in the nation's capital. One Black and one White high school are closed and the students sent to T.C. Williams High School under federal mandate to integrate. The year is seen through the eyes of the football team where the man hired to coach the Black school is made head coach over the highly successful white coach. Based on the actual events of 1971, the team becomes the unifying symbol for the community as the boys and the adults learn to depend on and trust each other.

Here's what I say::
one of the best movies I've ever seen. I absolutely love it. It's fantastic. I've seen this movie 57487539 times and it never gets old. I still get goosebumps every time I watch it. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend doing so, ABCFamily plays it a lot. there's so many funny memorable quotes too, who doesn't love a movie that you can quote all the time?! lovelovelove this movie. not to mention Denzel Washington is in it (I think he's terrific), and a young Ryan Gosling, and a super young Hayden Panettiere. justsaying. I give it a 5/5.

life is good
