Making Progress 101

I started a 101 in 1001 list about two-ish months ago. If you haven't made yourself a 101 list yet I HIGHLY recommend doing so. Just go to Day Zero and get started -you will not regret it! It's fun, and motivational, and awesome! Anyways, one of my 101 goals is to blog about each goal I complete so here's my update:

#7: Watch a movie I haven't seen yet for all 26 letters of the alphabet

The Change-Up, knocks off letter C. It was good, but just like all the other "They want the other ones life and switch bodies and realize they want their own life back" movies. And there was a lot of swearing... and I mean, a lot. My rating: C+.

The Descendents, letter D. I actually quite enjoyed the Descendents. I thought it was funny, and sad, and a solid story. I didn't really have high expectations but I have to say it was better than I thought. My rating: A-.

Maid in Manhattan -M. Okay, so I'm a little behind watching this movie. But, every time it was on TV it had already begun. And I cannot watch a movie without seeing the entire thing -unless I've seen it before. Anyways, I thought it was a decent movie, and I enjoyed the story behind it. Low class maid and a high end politician guy falling in love... I like 'underdog' stories, I like when people achieve their goals. My rating: B.

A Walk to Remember, W. Alright so I was behind on this movie train too. I know all you girls are thinking the same thing "you're a girl and you finally just saw this movie? What's wrong with you?!" Yea, well. I'm thinking the same thing. I read the book and loved it, so I had to see the movie. Usually I watch the movie then read the book -backwards I know- but books are pretty much always better, so why end on a bad note by watching the movie afterwards? See there is some logic there. Anyways, the book was wayyy better. The book was amazing actually. The movie, eh. I had high expectations.. now, I'm not saying it was bad, I'm just simply saying the book was better. My rating: B.

You Again, knocking off letter Y. I enjoyed You Again more than I expected too, maybe it's cause I think Jamie Lee Curtis is a great actress. Or because two of the main guys were attractive. Either way it was good none-the-less. My rating: B-.

#68 Read an (auto)biography of someone I admire.
I read Diary Of A Player by Brad Paisley. Brad is my favorite musician, and I have a lot of respect for him. After reading this book my admiration just grew stronger. He truly is a great man, father, husband, singer, and guitarist. "Try as you may, life will unfold around you at its own pace" -Brad.

  1. Love this post/idea. I was underwhelmed by "You Again." I expected a lot because of the amazing cast, but it was just OK. I must add Brad Paisley's book to my list.
