Weekend Update - Movie Marathon
all I did this weekend was watch movies. and worked some. that's it. here's the movies I watched and a review of them, enjoy.
first up was Gone. I thought it was good, but predictable. I knew who the killer was the second I saw him.. I was hoping that it'd be someone different that I didn't see coming but it was exactly who I thought it was. but I still say it's worth watching. my rating: B.
next I watched Let Me In. this movie was effed.. seriously effed. creepy. weird. effed. therefore it was kinda good. not sure if I'd re-watch it. my rating: C+.
last of the night I watched Crazy Stupid Love. or I should say re-watched. I love this movie.. Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone.. all great actors, all in one movie. if you haven't seen this movie, watch it. my rating: A.
Saturday night, movie night continued with Ted. Ted was funny, but not nearly as hilarious as everyone claimed it was. it didn't live up to it's expectations which was disappointing. still funny though, and still worth watching, just don't be super psyched about it. my rating: B.
I watched Source Code by chance. I actually had four movies in my hand and did eenie-meenie-minie-mo, and Source Code won. I loved this movie. seriously loved it. it kinda messes with your brain a little bit too.. like you know whats going on but you're not sure whats going on. plus Jake Gyllenhaal is in it, and who doesn't want to stare at that for two hours.. am I right or am I right? my rating: A.
Sunday afternoon I watched Edge of Darkness. all the communication was super quiet so I had to crank the volume but the explosions/gun shots and what not were extremely loud. this was irritating. it also wasn't that great. don't waste your time. my rating: D.
17 Again was on tv.. so I re-watched it. I forgot how good it was. I love movies that have hilarious one-liners and this movie definitely has that.. plus Zac Efron is in it.. who doesn't want to stare at that for two hours.. am I right or am I right? my rating: B+.
The Campaign. It was funny, but it was just that.. funny. not hilarious, not spectacular. just funny. I thought it was going to be better than it was. don't get me wrong, I still thought it was good just not as good as I assumed it would be. Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, both hilarious, put them together mega-hilarious, this movie not mega-hilarious. my rating: B-.

Aw I really liked Ted, I thought it was hilarious! Source Code sounds good, I haven't heard of that one (or I don't remember at least), I should look for it.
ReplyDeletemy little brother and best friend both LOVE Ted. I think I just heard too much awesomeness prior to watching it that when I actually did it didn't seem to live up to the hype.
DeleteI really like 17 Again! It's totally underrated! Great one. And Crazy Stupid Love is awesome too. I never bothered seeing Ted or The Campaign. Ehh
ReplyDeleteit really is underrated, my mom was like "you're watching this stupid movie again" as I'm cracking up at how funny it is.
